“I’m writing to you from Argentina, where I am currently running my business as I prepare for my next travels.

The primary purpose of this letter is to share with you an important insight that has become obvious to me over the past few years - peace is invaluable and must not be taken for granted.

This realization came to me when Russia invaded Ukraine, a country near my homeland in Poland.

Before that time, I had never truly understood the reality of war and the tremendous toll it can take on people's lives.

As soon as conflict erupted in Ukraine, I was overcome with a deep sense of sorrow and dread at what might happen if it were to come closer to home.

We should remain aware of what is occurring in various parts of the world, ensure that we are doing our part to promote peace whenever possible, and be ready to stand up for justice when necessary.

To combat these issues, I volunteer in my community at local shelters and watch TED Talks and listen to podcasts every day.

“My name is Evan Piepho, and I’m from Rochester, MN. I currently work as the Minnesota Inclusion Initiative Manager for The Arc Minnesota, which is a disability rights advocacy organization.

I also help lead Three Rivers Restorative Justice, a nonprofit organization that seeks to repair the harms associated with crime for victims, communities, and offenders.

In embracing a restorative justice framework, those most impacted by crime and conflict can work together in a structured, facilitated dialogue to initiate healing in a way that the traditional criminal legal system often does not.

Although we come from varied cultures and circumstances, I hold true that any two people can find a commonality if they make an honest effort…

“As mayor, I work tirelessly each and every day to keep Calabasas safe, fiscally sound and business friendly, as well as to continue our efforts in preserving open space and promoting a sustainable future.

Today, however, I want to talk about something of even greater importance: world peace. It is only through coming together that we can create true peace for the world. This can be done through small acts of kindness each day, large acts of service, and through creating a just and equitable society for all.

I understand the importance of youth leadership to create positive change and a more peaceful tomorrow—which is why I formed our Mayors Youth Council in Calabasas. This council is comprised of dedicated young people ages 14-21 who are actively engaged in our community, striving for greater understanding and collaboration between citizens of all backgrounds and cultures.

Through this council, we create a safe space for youth to discuss and share their ideas, collaborate on projects that impact the community, and develop leadership skills for years to come.

“The first person I thought I was in love with was a girl I knew in high school- the drama filled, bipolar thing that a lot of teens call being in love. It lasted two weeks and I broke up with her after she made me a hand made hat for the winter.

Kind of a jerk move right?

The whole reason I broke up with her was because my best friend didn't think she was cute.

Made things even worse right?

During your first love a lot of times you're too immature to even know what that word means, but you make the choice that you don't know what it is, so it's now called love. It's all part of figuring out life and its natural.”

Love is an interesting thing. You can love so many things, not just human beings, but let's focus on people now. I was in love exactly three times.

Every time was a bit different and every time the feelings were a bit stronger.

I guess I was just looking for my soulmate and I found him.

But there were not only boys, I had one girlfriend when I was in high school, but now I do not think that we had real feelings for each other and then there was another girl and I fell quite hard for her, but we were never together as a couple. “I’m a love over logic type of person, even though sometimes love doesn't make sense. I have loved and been in love before. My first love had its ups and downs. It definitely taught me a lot.

I believe love is emotional, spiritual, chemical, and scientific. I feel it has elements of everything in it. Love to me is that feeling of knowing that this is going to be forever and there are no other people. I do believe in true love. I feel everyone is meant to find someone to spend the rest of their lives with.

"I don't believe true love dies— for me it's just a sign to bring fresh wind into the love. Sometimes the love is very old and tired but together you can have fun and bring romance to the relationship again.

I'm a romantic. I love classic dates. So, a dinner in a restaurant or a box of popcorn in a good movie. A little bit of teasing, like kisses or hugs. That's things I love and also need.

Romance is not always a candle lit dinner. Sometimes it's just the lunch after work made with a little bit of love. But s*x isn’t a necessity. It’s a form to show love but it's not the only one. Kisses, hugs, cuddle time, romantic dinners are all possibilities.

If two persons are happy without s*x because they have other things to do for romantic or time together, it's a reasonable way." -

There's always going to be moments of misunderstanding that can end up hurting.

However, I think it's always worth it.

I most certainly experienced love pain too. It could be a difficult thing to carry with you, but you can always learn something from those experiences.

“Hi, my name is Joe Dufty. I’m an aussie living in Country New South Wales, Australia.

Love is a powerful drug; it changes our chemistry and hormones which messes with our mind. Being spiritual and being a ta**us, I would definitely say I am a love over logic person. Leading with my heart with passion and the power of the Taurean bull.

Unfortunately, my first relationship was with a girl who didn’t love herself or respect herself, she tried to control me and manipulate me. At the time, I couldn’t see it, but our relationship always felt like there was friction, it wasn’t smooth.

It created a lot of drama and emotion that wasn’t positive, and affected my mental health.

“My name is Mitch, living in Los Angeles California working in aesthetic medicine consulting as well as a partial founding member of a new start-up gay dating app called CAMDEN.

My first “love” was my high school boyfriend, or so I thought. For the sake of this interview we can call him Sam. Sam was a few years older than I was, openly gay, and really the first guy I ever even had a crush on (openly I guess).

Time went on and I really started to fall for Sam and wanted to be an official couple. When I brought this up he told me that we couldn't be together until I was out, as he didn't want to “sneak around”.

You can’t wake up one day and decide that you’re going to sit on your ass and stop trying in your relationship.

“S*x is not a necessity when two people are in love. I have often connected with people a lot more through their minds before their bodies. What makes s*x essential and incredible is when two people share a deeper connection that gives meaning to the s*x.

S*x can feel good, but when it is shared with someone you love and feel connected to, it becomes amazing.

Many people who love each other do not feel the need to have s*x because they share a deep bond in other ways.

Also, this gives people who cannot have s*x for physical reasons the ability to still be in a relationship.

As Maslow's hierarchy of needs shows, people do need to feel a sense of belongingness and love but this can be done in many ways other than through s*x. However, I do believe nothing compares to sharing physical intimacy with the one we love.

Do I believe in true love? If true love is unconditional, unwavering and unparalleled then not really, because feelings can change just like people.

“As much as I would like to say love is magical and spiritual, I just can’t. For me it's strictly chemical. Love is a drug the same way co***ne is a drug, it boosts your serotonin levels for the time you're on it, and when it's taken away from it you feel down and borderline depressed.

My first love was a rollercoaster. It was extreme at times but at other times I never was happier. Typical teenage love and emotions. One day it's hot and the next it's cold. But it taught me a lot about what love is and what it’s not.

My advice for anyone searching for true love is just simply to wait. As cliché as it sounds, life is an adventure and the best part is the journey. "An individual can be pushed into being a rebel when put into situations of people saying “it’s always been done this way.” That's an instant motivator to prove people wrong in creating their own “way” or “path” when in disagreement with traditions. Being pushed to make their values known that are unconventional to others is a sure fire way to be sent into the rebel mindset and be a new trendsetter in their own right.
The most rebellious person I know is my mother. I value her opinions the most and most of my rebellious spirit is derived from her. She always defies what society tells her and does whatever she pleases. A little bit of a troublemaker who doesn’t always follow instructions. People may look at her different and treat her accordingly but that’s what makes her strong and confident.

"Rebels shouldn't necessarily be outcasts. If their rebellion is for a noble cause they can fit in the society. They should fit in! Many people in Argentina rebel against the injustices of the country and emigrate in search of better possibilities in another country. I think it is actually a rebellion in disguise but there are many political movements here that claim to be rebels but their causes are not noble and respond to the interests of a few. However, had those rebels fought for a good cause and rebelled against injustices, they would've been good examples to the youth.
