My mom passed away last Saturday after a short, hard fought battle with cancer.

I'd give anything to hear her voice once more. I cried wherever I went even as I write this post.

i have no regrets because I know my love for her has always been unconditional and she knew it till the very end.

What just pains me is that I wasn't by her side when she left, looking for ways to make her journey with cancer less painful towards remission.

There were a lifetime of lessons in this journey, but only one that needs to be shared right now...

Stop whatever you're doing and take 3 minutes to call someone that means the world to you.

It's the thing you can't have but you'll want to do when they're gone.
