I need the cast to chill out a little bit during their off time from the show. I also really hope that allegedly getting into a hit-n-run stich was purely an accident and no one was severely injured and/or property totaled. It’s kinda interesting that so much of the that swirls around the since the wrap of season 2 has been crazy.

LATEST: An update on the latest developments regarding the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild Strikes as of July 14th. The comes at a time when Actors, Writers and many within the entertainment industry are fed up with how the Studios (AMPTP) have handled the transition from traditional media to the streaming led entertainment. The strikes will have effects on entertainment, having already shutdown the majority of in-production shows, films and more. The hope is that Studios and Executives take note and come to the table to rewrite procedure and shape a healthier and more sustainable future.

Actors – about 160,000 television and movie actors working under agreements established by the SAG-AFTRA union – now join members of the Writers Guild of America, who walked off the job in May. It is the first time SAG-AFTRA has held a strike in four decades.

Directors could also be about to strike alongside writers, and if they did, all of Hollywood would shut down. The writers are not the only big group studios have to worry about right now. Yes, they are embarking on a massive strike that is already impacting Hollywood. But starting today, leaders from the Director’s Guild of America, the union representing directors, will begin their contract negotiations with studios. So that’s two unions the studios will have to deal with now, and on top of that, the actor’s union will start talks this summer. And as far as what directors want, well, like writers, streaming residuals are on the table, Though directors’ concerns are more focused on international streaming. They also want more data transparency, a boost in health plans and wage floors, protections for creatives rights, and expansions for diversity initiatives and safety standards. As for how these negotiations will impact the writers strike? Well, this gives both the writers and directors some boosted leverage. Because, as Variety notes, a director’s strike is far less likely than a writer’s strike, But if they did picket at the same time as writers, it would fully shut down all scripted productions, with absolutely no wiggle room for anything to get made. And right now, the DGA is standing in huge solidarity with the writers, though comments from SAG-AFTRA leader Fran Drescher have come under fire. But the DGA’s contract does not expire until June 30, so even if the unlikely event of a strike arises, it would not happen until then.
