The body of a teenage boy, who drowned yesterday in #Arigam Budgam, was fished out from #Shalingaga Nallah on Thursday afternoon. The rescue operation was resumed today morning to trace Irfan Bhat, a class 9th student. He had slipped into Shalinga and drowned.

A man-eater leopard continues to dodge wildlife shooters for the fourth consecutive day in Budgam. A massive hunt to trap the big cat was launched around Ompora area after killing a minor girl. The wildlife department has set up cages but the feracious leopard continues to evade the traps. Under the Wildlife Act, the shooters have been ordered to kill the leopard that has created panic in Budgam.

A Budgam woman was injured after a stray bullet hit her on Friday. Locals of Ichgam said, a stray bullet fired from a nearby training site, struck 65-year-old Fatima's leg when she was busy with household chores. She was shifted to Budgam district hospital.
