We are planning our own version of ‘Odd Man Out’, a series where we take 8 students from a single department and have them find a liar amongst them.
We are looking to cast a video with IR students (no worries if you’re on a joint degree). Liars from all courses are welcome :)
If you are interested in taking part please fill out the below google form (can be found in our linktree). Message us if you have any questions.
If you guys know the story behind loose Tv then you will know that I and a couple of my other friends had to rebuild this society from the ground up. It took a lot of stressful nights, tears and headaches. Despite all the challenges I had a wonderful team behind me who really supported my goal - which was making professional equipment accessible to students.
If you are part of a society in LSE then I do not need to talk about how bureaucratic the process is to do anything. As someone who comes from a working class background, I had to save to get my own camera. I understand that even being able to save to a camera is a privilege. I saw something completely wrong with how there was no existence of student led video media in LSE and I worked to change it.
I could have not done this without the support of the strong women behind loose TV. We are a mainly female led group. We in the committee know how stressful this has been and I am so happy that we are able to share our love and passion for all things video media with the rest of the community at LSE. I wanted to write this open letter to attempt to express my endless gratitude, love, and appreciation for all of my female committee members. We have really made history - all of us together with what we have been able to do in such a short time. The views and engagement we have been able to get is insane.
Thank you for sticking it with me despite the endless voice messages, midnight WhatsApp’s spams and just my general a**l behaviour.
Thank you for supporting me with all the barriers and enemies of progress this society faced lol. The sisterhood we have created has met so much to me and has been a core memory. You guys have believed in this society at times even more than myself at times and have helped to make it what is it today
(shorten version of IG Caption)
Thank you for making my dream come true. love you all. Loose 4 life lol
Every single migraine was worth it.
Your 22/23 President Sarah

LSE chat bot to combat loneliness
Feeling lonely in a big city?
Postgrad Evgeny Pavlov built a bot to tackle this issue. LSE Random Coffee chat bot can randomly match two coffee partners at LSE campus. Within a few days, the interface got over 200 users eager to network and make friends from other departments. However, the lockdown urged Evgeny to put the bot on halt. Many users now request moving meet-ups online.
Valerie Kovtun talked to the inventor and asked users about their experience.

Teranga | Interview with Daisy Squires and Yankuba Fatty
LooSE TV's Sebastian Mullen had the privilege of sitting down with Daisy Squires and Yankuba Fatty, co-director and protaganist of 'Teranga: Life in the Waiting Room', to chat about their process. Teranga is a Guardian documentary about migrants and asylum seekers in Naples and how they grapple with being in a state of limbo as they wait for documents. A migrant-run afrobeats nightclub is their place of catharsis.
Daisy is an alumna of Department of Anthropology, London School of Economics and screened Teranga at LSE as part of the careers in creative industries week held by LSE Careers

Our Story
Welcome to LooSE TV!
We are a recently revived society at LSE interested in making engaging video content. We provide not just a platform for students to express themselves creatively, but also a community of like-minded people excited to collaborate and support each other!
For the coming year we have some projects we hope to pursue, if you are interested in participating in or even leading any of these projects, please become a member! We plan to start a weekly news series covering student news at LSE and in London. Anyone interested in TV journalism, student news, research, and of course, production is encouraged to join!
We hope to develop and produce your short film ideas, and showcase them at the end of the year in a mini-festival. We intend to start a talk show hosted by one of you! The guests will also be students at LSE. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in entertainment, or just something fun to be a part of!
We are also completely open to any of your ideas! We, without a doubt, want to punctuate our planned series with more creative projects. If you have ideas for short films, sketches, anything at all, we want to hear them! We offer plenty of opportunities for you to get involved with the film-making process, including acting, directing, editing, writing, and much more.
