Y'ALL, I COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT a fantastic printer led by Jeff Warner at OTC Print Shop !! Staying local with the magazine's printing as long as possible is important, and I consider it a blessing to have such a great relationship with this print shop.

When I say I didn't know what I was doing when I started, I'm not exaggerating. Jeff has been so patient and accommodating as I learn and get my footing. Give him and his team a huge shoutout because they squeezed in the surprise flood of June orders in a timely manner! 👏👏👏 I've just got home with all the magazines...let the packing commence. 😁

I don't fangirl very often, but after taking .wanders Watercolor For Relaxation class, I fell in love with her. Being such a small publication, I knew it would be a longshot to get an interview, but I took a chance...and she said YES! 🤯🤩

Issue No. 9 features my interview with .wanders; it's a must-read and a great opportunity to start following her!

Wendy is so relatable, down-to-earth, and talented. I'm probably working on one of her classes if I'm not working on magazine stuff. 🎨

📌PICK ONE THING YOU READ, SAW, OR HEARD today and write it down in a notebook, journal, on a sticky note, etc. Let it sink in.

We are bombarded with messages all day long and we’ve become so accustomed to it that we throw up and like and keep going only to forget what we just saw 2 seconds later.

👉Do you want entertainment or expansion/impact?

Go ahead and let everything fly by but also reach out and grab one nugget from each day and record it somewhere.

👉I started writing things on sticky notes and putting it on a wall. I think I’ll transfer them to a journal so I can watch the progression of what is speaking to me and how it impacts my life.

How often do we miss being part of a moment because our thoughts are busy, our eyes distracted, and our hearts disheveled? I love how little kids are fully present in everything they do. I am relearning to be fully present, even if it's doing nothing (ESPECIALLY doing nothing!). 😎

What joy to meet this sweet couple. They are readers of the magazine and in the area for a week of camping. They reached out and I stopped by their campsite for a long visit. The print shop had a little hiccup with their machines which delayed us a few days but the proof copy is here and now to spend the weekend on final edits. My printer is awesome and assured me I’ll have a quick turnaround to stay on schedule as much as possible. 💥❤️ I love working with other small businesses.

UPDATE: The shipment of No. 9 will be delayed as the machines at the printer are down and I haven't even received my proof for editing yet. 😒 Hoping the delay will only be a few more days but with Memorial Weekend it's a double whammy, so to speak. ;)

It's done!! (Well...the main stuff). The files for Issue No. 9 are on the way to the printer. 💃🏻💥

Next up: they'll get me a proof copy, then edits, then the final print run. Everything should be in the mail the end of next week!❤️

Taking a break from the finishing touches on Issue No 9 to pick up my son from college for a week before he comes back for summer work. This is a super fun issue but really the hardest one to put together. I never knew how far-reaching and important is the imagination!
