Alongside this I have always worked with kids and created content. Some end of the week nostalgia for you!

I’ve been doing a lot of research within the kids media industry. After an insightful and brilliant event from last week I thought it was necessary to look at what I loved as a child and what’s changed ( a lot ).

So here are some of my favourites as a kid! Let me know yours and what you have to add about what kids see today.

1. BRUM (1991)
All about a vintage car on a mission around the city. This cute character portrays courage, adventure, kindness with a sprinkle of cheekiness!

2. BANANAS IN PYJAMAS (1992)
This one shows tv growth from real actors dresses as bananas to now a YouTube and tv animation. AND a theme tune that never leaves you!

3. PLAYDAYS (1988)
Day by day consistency was the key here. We knew exactly what we were getting! From Mondays The Why Bird Shop to Fridays The Tent Shop.

4. TOTS TV (1993)
Tilly, Tom and Tiny were my friends! This show follows the characters while they get up to mischief working out the “real world”.

5. Rosie and Jim (1990)
Saving my personal favourite til last. And do I dare say… toys that come to life (before Toy Story). 😬 I was obsessed! I still call canal boats “Rosie and Jim boats”

So some fun facts about me 🥰

• Im Rachel and the name for my channel comes from my middle name Ivy (also passed down in my family - my great grandmothers name).
• If you haven’t guessed yellow is my favourite colour with pink falling closely behind!
• I love nature and being outdoors! See post 3 for some wild friends I meet every now and then 🦋 🦎
• I have a pet tortoise named Jermaine! 🐢 he’s still sleeping at the moment but can’t wait to introduce you to him!
• I have performed in musicals and travelled with shows around the world! 🎭

I am very passionate about children’s education and love to see my students grow with confidence.

RELAUNCH COMING SOON! 🚀🚀🚀

Hey gang! Some exciting stuff happening over here and I want you to know it will be worth the wait.

Here are 3 things to get excited about:
1. Brand new website! (First ever for IVY TV KIDS)
2. Children’s activities. I’ll be posting blog/articles weekly to help you keep the kids entertained at home or out about!
3. A fun new series! I’m not ready to reveal exactly what the theme is but I’m so excited about it as it was one of my favourite places to visit as a child! So stay tuned.

For now I do have some story times that have not yet been posted to YouTube. So thank you to all the authors that have sent me their books, you will see them coming through to YouTube very soon and I’ll be in touch on the week it will be out 🎉🌈

But what is Boxing Day??
Well traditionally it’s a day to give gifts to the poor. Over time lots of us use it to spread out the Christmas holiday, i always remember it as a day of eating leftovers and playing with new toys. Forever grateful for this ❤️

A lot of us may have found Christmas hard for all sorts of reasons. I hope you have managed to be kind to yourselves and not been too stressful. Give what you can this Christmas and beyond, even a smile goes a long way and totally free! A new year ahead of us 🙏

A simple hello! 👋🏼

First of all a little introduction! Hey, I’m Rachel a performer and children’s presenter. I host lots of fun facts and story times over on YouTube and I travel the country performing in the musical Mamma Mia! Thanks for stopping by :)

I am feeling a bit nervous about this post as I have been away from for quite a while. I feel so lucky to be in Mamma Mia! BUT I do feel sorry I haven’t quite been able to keep up with my YouTube channel with how busy I have been. HOWEVER… I hope I can be forgiven as I have set some goals and I’m pretty excited to share I’m back and ready to throw out the facts!

WOW 🤩 What a fantastic day!!

Still feeling on top of the world after seeing all the smiling faces yesterday.

Not only did it feel like a huge step for IVY TV KIDS! but I feel like a need a new notebook with all the inspiration I got to create and do more live shows like this! It was a first to sing nursery rhymes, and I’m excited to announce I’ll be releasing those songs on my YouTube in the coming weeks so your little ones can sing and dance along with me at home and in the classroom!

Happy Monday! An honest post..

I have had a really positive and productive start to my May and this week I want to continue on this roll. I’m interested in what you do to stay motivated or get motivated!? It’s taken me a while to feel like I am achieving more in my days again, but it took me a long time to get back in this flow!

I have been planning lots for my channel and have some exciting live events coming up too. Plus I feel so lucky to be working on other projects for kids tv which fills me with lots of joy!

This is a photo from a little shoot I did for my new website which is currently being built so I’m looking forward to seeing it up and running.

I still have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to social media and getting my content out there but i try my best! And that’s all we can do 😌
I want to thank you for sticking with me the last 2 years and sharing my videos with your friends and family. ❤️

Is it strawberry picking season yet??!

Visiting the fruit and veg pick your own farms are such a fun day out with the little ones. Plus you can really ooze out the activities even once you’re home by using what you’ve picked to do some yummy baking! My favourite thing to make after picking strawberries is a simple jam!
