Some extra behind the scenes images. This one is on a Curtis machine that I'm going to do a bit of a on. This is unique due to its Curtis branding and will be explored during the video. Plans include changing the from a "Standard" Beaver Mech to the NG Mech (which I detailed in a previous video) and repainting the ABS body to match the burgundy coloring and pearl finish. Other restoration portions will include a basic clean up, some restoration to the globe to get it looking nearly perfect again, and some metal polishing where needed.

Some look at another project in the works. Will require me to make some corners that look like a braided rope gold necklace. This is me trying to find the right rope pattern. I feel like I finally found it.

As some of you may know, my primary occupation is working in motorsports as a journalist/photographer/videographer. Much of my income comes from working events like this and freelancing. This combined with California's AB5, a restriction on how businesses may use freelancers like myself, has begun to hurt my primary job.

However, it does make me thankful I did decide to pursue Vend Craft. It has allowed me to diversify what I do and what I write or create videos on. Even so, the canceling of events like this is hurting.

GRAND PRIX ASSOCIATION OF LONG BEACH STATEMENT ON
2020 ACURA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH

LONG BEACH, Calif. (March 12, 2020) -- In light of today’s announcement from the City of Long Beach prohibiting all large-scale events in the City through April 30, 2020, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach will not take place as scheduled on April 17-19. While we recognize that this is a serious inconvenience for our loyal attendees, sponsors and other clients, nevertheless, this action is consistent with our primary objective of assuring the public’s safety and well-being at our event.

We are in conversation with the City of Long Beach, various race sanctioning bodies and the Long Beach Convention Center to discuss the viability of rescheduling this event at a later time in the year. If that is not possible, then we look forward to presenting the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 16-18, 2021. Further details about possible refunds or credits will be forthcoming.
