Can someone explain to me why Americans put so much emphasis on celebrating Cinco de Mayo? I mean no disrespect but it being a Mexico holiday why does America celebrate it more so than say Mexico?

I understand the Mexican culture but what about Americas culture? Do we even have one now? I question Americans who celebrate Cinco de Mayo or I should say there reason.

Are Americans celebrating for the Mexican culture or a reason to party? If this is the case is this just another area to where we as Americans lose perspective of our culture to party for another culture.

I have family members married to some beautiful and kind people from Mexico so I am not trying to be disrespectful however those guys who want to shout out "Mexicans go home!" and wave the American flag and wave their Bibles but yet yelling Happy Cinco de Mayo waving there beer and celebrating a culture they disrespect?

We should respect another culture. We should enjoy another cultures history, dress, art etc..... How ever American Culture should be the priority in America as Mexican culture should be priority in Mexico.

How ever.... IF a person is wanting citizenship in whichever country then that country should be there culture. NOT try to bring a a culture you wanted to leave and then practice it and snub there nose at the country they are seeking to live in.

So just a queastion for those who claim to be christians. If you belive a video about McDonalds having human meat and serving them as nuggets and then showen proof it was a false story but you still belive it. Are you then decieved willingly?

First statement I would like to make is
1. This is a candidate running for Mayor in Branson, Mo. Republican Party
2. I live outside of Branson and I can't vote in their election.
3.I have interviewed Karen Best many times on different political items.
4. I am in NO way saying who someone should vote for in a different community.
HOWEVER...… I believe I know where Karen stands as a person and a politician. What I would like to say is about the audacity of a person who claims to be a faith based person (I am not downing her spiritual belief)
BUT..... I believe when you quote scripture you study to show your self approved (2 Timothy 2:15) I do believe this person has not done this. They seen a picture and made their own conclusion. I know a picture is worth a 1000 words but are they the correct word or are they assumptive words?
I would love to interview the person who decided to post this picture which I believe to be a Political Mud Slinger. I am also adding Karen Best Reply to this Picture and looking forward to Bev Eugenio reply.
