Andy watched Dora leave the bar. He was what the British call gobsmacked. The shock left his mouth open; the card Dora had left dangled between his fingers because he didn’t have the muscle strength to grip it. Not to mention the ringing in his ears. His body was experiencing various emotions at once and he could not process them all.
“Here you go mate,” the waitress said, placing the short, stout scotch glass on a square white serviette before him. She paused to look at the human statue he had become and the followed his gaze over to the bar’s exit doors.
“A little lover’s quarrel with your lady, is it?”
Andy felt the shock ebb away from his body a little bit. He turned to look at the woman serving him. She looked more like a school matron than a waitress at a bar. Her eyes seemed kind as she waited for him to respond.
“That lady was at the bar, sat on that stool over there from morning till night for three days straight except for bathroom breaks, waiting for you apparently.”
Andy’s eyebrows rose up in surprise.
“Whatever just transpired between you two shouldn’t worry you so much. She clearly adores you.”
Adores? A mirthless chuckle escaped Andy’s mouth.
“Well, thanks for that. You’re very kind,” he said.
“All part of the job mate,” she said with a smack of her lips, “don’t forget to tip your waitress,” she added with a wink.
Alone once again, he allowed his mind to roll over to the conversation he just had with Dora.

"The Unofficial Utopia" started doing music on their own as kids, singing in school choirs and playing in school bands. Eventually they all met in University and decided to form a band. A lot of their music has evolved in time. They perform in genres like Rock n Roll, Heavy Metal and Progressive metal. The best venue for their band to have performed till date was Mohit Moitra Mancha at Kolkata.The ultimate direction of their band is both fame and fortune. They also emphasized on requirements of financial assistance for the growth of artists with situational challenges. Their advice for young musicians is, "Please never stop doing what you love. Commitment requires patience and in this scenario, you need to have a lot of patience. Practice a lot, work really hard."

Artists like Arun Singhal, Bedanta Sarma, Yousuf Tareen,Nilesh Srivastava and Sarthak Dutta are creating their Rock and Roll music with major influences from Beatles and Foo fighters since 2019, having performed in venues like NMIMS Vile Parle, Mumbai. When asked what are the main themes or topics for most of their songs and will they change with time, they said,"The topics we choose for our songs are real life experience acquired in day to day life and the theme or topic will change with time". Additionally, they said, "Our music has evolved immensely since the initiation as we started with 3 piece band as a grunge band but with time we change to rock and roll and hard rock. We faced the most difficulties during disruption as we had to produce our recent tracks remotely. We overcame those challenges and proud to say that we produced an amazing track."
From both the choices for their band, the ultimate direction between Fame or fortune or both, appeared to be both. Advice for budding musicians from them is,"Always keep working and trust in your talents and be confident."
They intend to keep working hard,improve themselves in time and to make good music for the world to listen.

Gig Alert!

Joey van Leeuwen is an exciting, virtuosic and multidimensional drummer and composer. He performs music of a wide variety of improvisational, classical, traditional and contemporary styles, synthesized into his own unique and modern approach.
He performed with Brazilian guitar virtuoso Geovane Santos for several years and has toured the US with singer-songwriter Daphne Lee Martin as well as performing in the USA and India as the leader of his own jazz group. He was also featured as a lecturer at the Indian Music Experience Museum in Bengaluru and Berklee Global Music Institute in Delhi.

Joey holds a Master's in Contemporary Improvisation from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from the University of New Orleans.
