The struggle is real...
As an email marketing and conversion strategist, I keep things private between me and my clients.
But lately, I've noticed a few similar themes pop up between food bloggers.
Here are the top 3 things I see food bloggers struggling with right now:
#𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭
Coming up with fresh ideas, finding the time to create, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule can be challenging.
According to a recent survey by Venngage, 𝟲𝟴% 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 cite "𝑟𝑢𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑠" as their biggest challenge.
Without a steady stream of engaging content, your audience may lose interest and your online presence may suffer.
A study by TailWindApp found that Instagram accounts 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝟭-𝟯 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 see their follower growth rate plateau after peaking initially.
#𝟐 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠
It takes time and effort to attract and retain followers who genuinely connect with your content and brand.
In fact, a Sprout Social report revealed that 𝟴𝟲% 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 find it challenging to build an audience on social media.
Without an engaged following, 𝑖𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑧𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚 𝑜𝑟 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑜𝑟𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠.
Research by influence. co suggests that influencers with higher engagement rates (2-3%) can charge brands up to 7 times more per post than those with lower rates (below 1.5%).
#𝟑 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐬
Social media platforms and algorithms are constantly changing, making it challenging to adapt your strategy and maintain visibility.
A recent study by Hootsuite found that 𝟲𝟲% 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 struggle to keep up with the pace of change in social media marketing.
𝐹𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑒ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑔𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑚 𝑢𝑝𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑙𝑦 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡'𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡.
According to a report by Curalate, a decrease in engagement rate from 4% to 2.7% can lead to a 50% drop in likes and comments for influencers.
