In this article, Omer Malik, a LUMS alumni and Data Privacy Legal Analyst at SECURITI.ai, highlights ways in which organizations can continue to transfer data to the US while remaining in compliance with the GDPR in light of CJEU and Swiss FDPIC invalidating the Privacy Shield for EU-US transatlantic data transfers and SCCs being revamped with new obligations. The article also makes 'Risk Assessments' and proposes 'Additional Safeguards' that need to be considered.
