RECORDED on July, 2019:

Breaking the norms of vlogging, this video was created by accident. We were not planning on making a video about Pungko Pungko, even though we were in Cebu with my cameraman Leo at the time. We were planning to go to Carcar and some sights up Busay near Camp Lapu Lapu in Lahug - where we stayed at our friend Casel's place.

We were waiting for Casel’s motorcycle to be ready to bring us to South Bus terminal. Handing me over some ci******es, Leo told me there was a guy selling fried pork just about 50 meters away. He told me there were many people eating that stuff. Me and Casel said to him that it was Pungko Pungko-- with Leo left wondering because he didn’t know what Pungko pungko was. It was 8 in the morning and we hadn’t eaten since the night before.

So I told Leo to get the camera out and go to that spot. I wasn't thinking about talking in front of the camera or what I was going to say. When we arrived, I told Leo to shoot me right on the spot where we were standing (as it can be seen in the intro), across from the guy selling fried pork, as if eyeing something and planning what to do about it.

I kept on telling Leo to hit me everytime I was picking a variety of fried pork meat: pork chops, intestines, lumpia, ngohiong, hotdogs, some seashells, and among fried pork meat.

Pungko Pungko means to sit on a very small chair so low that you are literally almost sitting on the ground. The chair was supposed to look like the ones labandera use when they wash clothes. But there wasn't a chair. So the buyers were just standing while eating, as we also did. - with our right hands wrapped with Cebu's ever-popular cellophane glove.
