We call this medium for community communication---a channel or platform fo
r "VOICES FROM THE KENYAN ENVIRONMENT." This news medium is not the traditional news media talking about "the environment"--as a subject, as a thing out there. We live within the environment, and we are part of the environment. We cannot point at a house as "that house" while we are inside the house. It is not the environment which is the subject, but we-- humans-- are the subjects of these discussions--how our activities impact the natural environment-both bad and good
Kenya Environmental Professionals Association (KEPA) is a prospective non-profit, public interest organization established to help protect the environment and to advocate for environmental policy reforms in Kenya. Membership to the Kenya Environmental Professionals Association (KEPA) is open to practitioners, academicians, researchers, policy-makers and students in interdisciplinary professions including environmental science, resource management, geography, environmental planning and other professions contributing to the environmental field. The first members meeting is scheduled for June 2010 in Nairobi . At that meeting the first directors and officers will be elected and by-laws adopted.
