🇯🇵BEST JBBQ IN TORRENCE! 🥩

When you first step foot inside , it may look a bit old and small. But the food here is the exact opposite! 🤩 This Japanese barbecue spot has been here for 40 years and there’s a reason why. They specialize in high quality meats, raw liver, and beef tongue. 👅 This place is super authentic and legit! The aesthetic reminds me of when I was eating yakiniku in Japan. ✈️

My favorite must order items are the wagyu beef tongue, wagyu prime rib and the bean sprouts! 🌱 Yes, BEAN SPROUTS! They were fresh and crunchy! Also they were seasoned to perfection. It’s a great vegetable side dish to go with all that grilled meat. 🍖

This is probably the most beautiful 😍 dessert shop I’ve ever been to in Los Angeles!

If you’re looking to impress a date or bring a cake that will be the star of a show, you have to try .los.angeles 🩷 Their cakes 🎂 and chocolates 🍫 are made with the most beautiful intricate details I’ve ever seen! Not only do they look like art, they also taste like art. 🖼️ The flavors are natural, not too sweet and delicately tasteful. I highly encourage using the five senses when eating here because each item has different colors, textures, flavors and even smells!

If you could only pick one item, it would have to be the showstopping cake called Ispahan. It’s a beautiful marriage of rose, lychee, and raspberry on a macaroon cake. This cake is extremely light and refreshing, even if you eat it after a meal, you will not feel too full. I’m not even a huge fan of raspberries, but this has won my heart. ❤️

Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area! They have amazing service and even take the time to carefully explain each item to you. It feels like I’m eating in a museum! ✨

This is probably one of my new favorite KBBQ spots in Rowland Heights! 🥩 This was my first time trying out Yangmani and it will definitely not be my last. 🤤 The environment is nice and spacious and it’s perfect for big groups of friends or family. Their meat quality is really good and the price is so worth it!

Something that I thought was unique was how they offered dry aged meats. 😮 It was my first time trying dry aged KBBQ and it tastes smokey 🔥and had a deeper flavor. Fun fact, this meat is dry aged for 14 days! My family’s favorite items were the mega galbi and the marinated garlic 🧄 bomb beef galbi. It was so juicy and tender! I recommend ordering some rice 🍚 to go with it. They also have matcha salt, which is also interesting to eat! 🍵

The servers also help cook your meats for you and make sure they’re cooked to perfection. This place does get really popular so I recommend coming early to find parking and avoid the waits. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Let’s get this (King’s Hawaiian) bread! 🍞

Thank you for inviting me! My favorite drink was the LILIKOI MULE! It has passion fruit, ginger and lime inside and tastes amazing. There were also so many cute photo oppurtinties like this polaroid station and a cool neon photobooth wall. But the best part was definitely the slider buffet. You can DIY your own slides with fried cod, chicken, and even impossible meat!

💕matching my fits 2 my drinks 💚

As a content creator, one of my favorite things to do is color coordinate! 🌈Others may find it bothersome or a hassle, but for me, it makes it so satisfying! I’m currently holding three of the prettiest pastel drinks from Tastea: the ube milk tea, strawberry milk tea, and their brand new GREEN THAI TEA! 🧋

3 TIPS FOR BAKING FRENCH BREAD 🥖

Alright bread lovers, we all love eating this gluten heaven but what about baking it? 🤭I recently got to make some amazing French bread myself and did a lot of research beforehand. So here are 3 tips that I feel are super important before diving straight into baking! 😁🍞

1. THE CORRECT YEAST
Did you know theres different types of yeast? Theres actually 3️⃣ to be precise: fresh, fast acting dried, and active dried. Make sure you’re using the right ones and double check your recipe!👀

2. WEIGHT OVER VOLUME
Bread enthusiasts claim that baking by grams/ounces is more accurate than cups. 😮Try using a digital scale, you will have more control and therefore make better bread!

3. DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR DOUGH
When its time to let our bread rise, its easy to forget. 😵‍💫Leaving your dough OVER the recommend time will cause it to sink instead, making the carbon dioxide escape. Use a timer, trust me! ⏰

3 PASTA TIPS YOU DIDN’T KNOW 😳🍝

We all love a good bowl of spaghetti, but do you know how to make the BEST spaghetti? I searched all over Reddit to find some pasta tips that I felt were super helpful! Let me know if you already knew these or not in the comments below!

1. Make your pasta sauce BEFORE the pasta
This is because the longer the pasta sits there waiting, the more the texture will become gummy. You want your pasta to be fresh out the pot!
2. Don’t pour too much water
Less water in your pasta pot = more starch concentration which makes your pasta water a lot thicker. This is perfect for a more consistent sauce if you plan on adding pasta water to your sauce.
3. Make sure your pot is the right one
It might be tempting to just pick whatever pot you have laying around, but using the right one can really change how it cooks! For longer pasta, such as spaghetti, a wider one is better. For shorter pasta, such as macaroni, a shorter one is better. This is because you want the whole pasta to cook at once. For example, if you use a shorter pot for spaghetti, only half will cook as the other half slowly sinks in.

If you’re curious about my spaghetti here, I’m using spaghetti and pasta sauce, along with ground wagyu!

This cafe has been here since 2011 and is famous for their drinks, arepas, and more. They offer a big menu with plenty of options like vegan 🌱 and gluten free items. They serve Venezuelan hot chocolate ☕️ which is a lot different from your regular hot cocoa! Its velvety, creamy, thick, and decadent. This drink is meant to be sipped and savored. I ordered the Cachapa Mediterranea which is this open face yellow corn oVenezuelan cachapa with Italian prosciutto, Spanish chorizo, Italian burrata, roasted grape tomatoes 🍅 with pesto spread. This was my favorite! Super flavorful and a great savory item to go with the sweet drinks. The ham bread roll, or Cachet de Jamon, is another crowd pleaser. Have you ever tried hot pot like this before?🫢🍲 This was my first time trying Northeastern Chinese hot pot at @happyvalleyvillage_la ! They offer these 🌽 🍚 pancakes that cook on the side of the pot. These buns are crispy on the bottom, and soft on the inside. You can either eat it plain or dip it inside the fragrant soup (my favorite method!) I loved my caramelized sweet potato 🍠 dessert! they’re super sticky and hot so you have to dip it in water to solidify the sugar. It was honestly really fun seeing how long the sugar strands could go. 😆 Overall I had a great first time experience and would love to come back to try the famous goose 🪿 stew next time. Did you know that @85cbakerycafe opened up their own dumpling restaurant in Rowland Heights? @jcdumplingsusa has all your favorite Taiwanese dishes like dumplings, noodles, and classic sides such as marinated cucumbers and tofu skin. 🥒 😋 One of the first things I ordered was the classic beef noodle 🍜 soup.
