With a history of more than a thousand years, Beihai Park in the inner city of Beijing is one of the most intactly preserved royal gardens to this day in China. The name of the park originates from Beihai (north sea) The lake is located to the west of Canh Son mountain, northwest of the Forbidden City and merged to Shippanghai to the north. Beihai Lake, along with two lakes of Trung Hai and Nam Hai, is dubbed the Tam Hai of Beijing.
