The Enniskillen International Market is back in town this weekend and we hope you are all as excited as we are.

It's the 4th Annual Market and there will be foods, crafts, goodies and more from all over the world with Enniskillen Castle providing the perfect home for the three days.

The Island Town Apartment is just a 20-metre meander from the shores of Lough Erne, which surrounds Enniskillen. Fermanagh’s capital town is the ideal base to explore the sights and sounds of the majestic Lakeland County. NEW EVENT: Back to the Stone Age

Dive into the fascinating world of our early ancestors and discover the art of foraging natural local materials to craft your very own rope under the guidance or our event guide. Learn valuable skills that have been passed down through generations with a captivating demonstration in the ancient art of flint napping, the artistry of shaping a piece of flint into a selection of different tools. 🔥

You will be guided through Killykeegan Nature Reserve with Cuilcagh mountain providing a stunning backdrop. As you walk through the rich limestone grassland you will uncover an abundance of archaeological features that show the true history of the area.

Themes covered
*Local archaeology covering from the Neolithic to the modern day
*The earliest local inhabitants and their way of life
*Survival skills of ancient people
*Foraging for materials for making rope and cordage
*Stone tools and flint knapping demonstration

9.30am - starting at Enniskillen Castle: Fermanagh County Museum

Enniskillen 10k is back after a five year absence in the running calendar! Enniskillen Running Club look forward to hosting its return and welcoming old and new faces to the much loved event in Ireland’s only Island Town.

The run will take place on Saturday 15th June at 9.30am, beginning at the historic Enniskillen Castle, then across town to the scenic grounds of the National Trust Castle Coole Estate (National Trust Fermanagh) and back. There are a few tweaks to the course but don't worry, the infamous Ardhowen Hills are still part of it - it wouldn’t be Enniskillen 10km without it!

We look forward to bringing this event back with a bang, thanks to our main sponsors Modern Tyres and our other sponsors, Balcas, Greentown Co., Severfield, Western Cars, Enniskillen, Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges, FM Metals and Experience Enniskillen. There will be generous cash prizes for age and gender categories - Who will be King and Queen of the first Castle to Castle event?

The first 1500 finishers will be guaranteed a bespoke medal and unique T-shirt, hot food and refreshments will also be available at the finish line. There’s even something for the kids who come to cheer on their parents! Face painting will be available as well as some entertaining characters to keep the little ones amused. It’s sure to be a great day out for all the family!

Please note minimum age for entry to the 10K is 15, younger runners will not be able to take part. Car parking will be available at the Lakeland Forum Leisure Centre, Wellington Place car park and various locations throughout the town.

Toilets will also be available close to the the starting line. Bib collection will take place at Enniskillen Castle on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th June from 6pm until 8.30pm and on Race day, Saturday 15th from 7.45am until 8.45am.

Enniskillen Running Club are delighted to bring this 10k event to the running community and encourage charities to organise fundraising, our club will make donations to selected charities after the event.

We look forward to seeing you all on June 15th! It’s sure to be a memorable comeback event in our community - make sure you are part of it!
