🎓 It's graduation season, bby! 🎓

Congratulations to all the graduating students out there! I had the incredible honor of designing one of my very best friend's graduation cap alongside my OTHER bestie who drew up the beautiful calligraphy. I'm OBSESSED with it! 🥰 Might offer these in my shop for future graduates! I had such a fun time getting to make this come to life.

I wanted to share a lil something ✨special✨ I got to do yesterday — One of my good friends started a charitable foundation with her parents focusing on assisting middle-class families with low income & resources. She called me last week and asked if I would like to donate stickers to care baskets they are creating for the families and OF COURSE I said yes! 🥺

I created these little packs filled with positive affirmation stickers & a special print. It's not much, but I'm so honored & grateful to be able to work directly with an organization making an IMPACT in people's lives! ❤️

She’s rebranded, people! 🗣🗣🤩

Man y’all!! I’ve been working so tough on rebranding my business. Art Parade was amazing, but it didn’t resonate with me anymore. AND, I wanted to incorporate my name & different services I offer. Since my speciality is more-so illustration, I made it with a fun typeface that embodies that! Change is a good thing, right? 😋 Not only is there a new name & logo, but I’ve also got some new packaging! Packaging is one of my favorite parts of owning my own business - it takes you on a fun little journey as soon as your package arrives.

With that, I’ve also reworked the website to make it the best experience for you as you shop! Tomorrow, I’ll be releasing some new pre-made prints & stickers that I’ve been loving on! 🥰

Hi friends, please excuse my absence this past week. It was real rough in Texas last week, so I’ve been using this time to take care of my mental health and take ✨multiple✨ coffee breaks. It’s been tough on me lately and if it has been for you too, I get it and just know you’re not alone. It’s okay to step away from your phone for the time needed to take care of you. You deserve that venti cup of coffee from Starbucks💛

Geez it’s so easy to get caught up in your head ESPECIALLY as a first time business owner. The constant comparison, the never ending race to catch up, and the learning curve when trying to get everything right & going! But whatever it is, KEEP GOING. Keep moving forward. KEEP LEARNING! You can do this. Dust the dirt off your shoulders and keep it moving 😛

One of my favorite things my yoga teacher says during our meditation: Take rest. Turn your magic off for just a moment or two! You deserve time for yourself. Never feel guilty for that!

It’s so so easy to be in this constant “go go go” mode. But, it’s important to give ourselves not only grace, but rest - Days to just breathe and allow our bodies and minds to heal.

I hope this weekend is full of rest and healing for you✨

Well look at this - It’s national golden retriever day! 🥰 Fun fact: these are actually my dream dogs! Either goldens or maybe a golden-doodle mix.

This commission was one of my favorites to do as a Christmas gift for ! Her golden retrievers are gorgeoussss! 🥺 I may have kitties, but one of these days I hope to get 2 dogs!

✨HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!✨ Quite frankly, YEAR. We shouldn't just celebrate Black history for the month of February, but for EVERY month of the year. Black history IS American history. Black history IS world history. This month, I will be dedicating my feed to amplifying the Black voices in my life that have not only impacted me, but inspired me to use my voice to contribute.

It's not just about what we repost on social media. What are you doing in your everyday life to learn about Black history and support the Black community? Are you simply reposting something you see online or are you really diving deep and being an active proponent for both Black liberation and joy? If you haven't, here are a few ways to start:

🖤 Read Black authors! (all genres of books)
🖤 Support Black-owned businesses & creators
🖤 Learn and donate to anti-racist educators & programs
🖤 Amplify and LISTEN to Black voices
🖤 Donate $ and services to Black organizations
🖤 Make actionable goals to support the Black community

Make Black history a priority 365 days a year! The change starts with you and I.💗

Valentine’s Day coming quick!!! Seeing the prints come to life is probably my favorite part of the process. Believe it or not, this used to be the hardest part for me 😂 Once I’m done creating the piece, I send it to my computer and edit it on Photoshop. From there, it’s all a game of seeing which paper it prints best on, how the colors turn out in real life vs the screen, reprinting if the edits aren’t good, etc. Thankfully, I think I’ve found the best settings for my printer to bring out the most banging colors! 😛
