Do you condemn?
The oppressor asks the oppressed.

A foolish question to keep our mental state defensive and within the conflict.

You see, the moment we rise above the conflict, our consciousness elevates and we begin to make out the patterns.

But they want us to remain so intensively zoomed in, so all we see are pixels, just like an image.

But let's zoom out for a second and see the full picture.

Do you condemn?
We've heard this melody before.
In fact, it has echoed across centuries.

56 million Native Americans were killed and the question was...
Do you condemn the wild, red Indians?

A quarter of a million perished when nuclear bombs devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And the question was...
Do you condemn Pearl Harbor?

3.6 million people has been killed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. And the question was...
Do you condemn 9-11?

Over a million people were killed in Iraq.
The question was...
Do you condemn the weapons of mass destruction?

The list is long, but you get the full image now.
It's the same story with different villains.

And here we are, once again.
Do you condemn hamas?

Another attempt to justify brutal killings.

This is not a war between religions because those who are behind it, they don't believe.

This has always been about power and resources. And that's the bigger picture.

Expecting a solution from those who created the web is like a bug asking the spider for its freedom not realizing the purpose of the web.

If you feel like you aren't the same person as you were 3 weeks ago, you're right. As dark and uncomfortable as grief is, it's helping us see our environment, friends, and workplaces clearly - without the rose colored glasses.

You're probably noticing your values and capacity for things like friends, jobs, people you looked up to on social media, now change.

For those of us who haven't turned to apathy: what we are feeling is intense, collective and ongoing grief. Grief is one of our biggest teachers because it fundamentally changes who we are as human beings.

It is an uncomfortable emotion that a lot of us don't know how to process - in fact, turning away from it might seem like the easier option.

Our collective grief can also be layered with emotions like anger and hopelessness, as we are grappling with funding a genocide.

And because we are all interconnected, our grief is tied with the liberation of those who are oppressed. It's tied to the freedom of Palestinians. And as many of us are now slowly waking up to our own Western privilege, the awareness might feel heavy.

I encourage you to explore your grief. There is nothing "normal" about witnessing a genocide happening in real time. Giving yourself time to honor your grief instead of "moving on" is also resistance. Allow discomfort to be your permission slip to not accept the status quo.

I killed a child today,
but it didn't affect my smile today.
Yeah okay, you might feel some type of way,
But he died like 6,000 miles away.

Honestly, that's too far hear his... baba pray or feel the building crumble on his mother. He did nothing.

He wasn't a soldier. I was told his family ain't militant.
Still, I snatched all his..In a sense (innocence),
I didn't kill him. I'll explain.

Actually, that's dramatic.
I did 22%, because that's how I much I paid for my taxes.
And my taxes went to bombs, and then my bombs went to Israelis and Israelis kill the child. But my silence made me complacent. So okay, I killed a child today.

Fractional, if you want to be factual, but when we die, they don't help us.
I guess my actual compassion is transactional.

Civil just means citizen, so this is a civil rights issue,
but you don't care about that, do you? Unless it's just s**t that you've been through.

I killed a child today, and I'm starting to feel remorse, because I don't even know his name. But you killed one too, do you know yours?
