Ondo State has the 6th largest economy in Nigeria, dominated by oil and agricultural products. The state is endowed with abundant natural resources, huge mineral deposits and rich forest reserves which create enormous potential for industrial and economic growth. In spite of these enormous resources, Ondo State remains largely underdeveloped with the attendant high unemployment rate, unacceptable poverty level, infrastructural decay, moribund industries and low standards of living. More worrisome is the inept, arrogance, and poor quality of leadership in our dear Sunshine State of recent.

Our clear understanding of the socio-economic and political dynamics of Ondo State and the compelling need to arrest the downward slide in the past glory and fortune of Ondo State completely dictates my coming up to be used as an agent of restoration, creativity and development at this particular point in time. Under my New Deal, I propose the following 8-point agenda:

 Agriculture and Food Security
 Comprehensive Healthcare
 Education and E-Learning
 Industrialization, Deep Seaport Development and Export FreeZone
 Infrastructural Development and Environmental Conservation
 Domestic Resource Mobilization and Commerce
 Youth Empowerment, Job Creation and Social Inclusion
 Security and Protection
