Sorry for lack of posts but this week has been a struggle for me and the Dude. He's going to be 14 on December 30th and the senior challenges hit all at once this week...vet visits on Monday and yesterday. He's on a total of 8 meds now... But thankfully last night was finally a good night for both of us. Me, I can handle the struggle but it's never fair that the little creatures we love have to. Just doing all I can for the love of my life until there's nothing more to do but say goodbye...Thankfully that might still be a little way off but I'm still treasuring every day with him in case it isn't because tomorrow is never promised.
Social media isn't going anywhere, but my time with this little man is too short and he comes first. ❤️😢
I am still posting vlogs on my YouTube channel about him and my other dogs and other stuff... More makeup soon I hope as long as Dude improves with his new meds. My advice? know your priorities.
I put years into content creation but in the end it's just what? I don't know... Often I think in the big picture it doesn't even matter. This... This guy in the pics? He does. He loves and trusts me unconditionally and I do too with him. I don't know what I'll ever do without him so if I'm a bit absent, you all know why. I did a whole vlog pretty much about him yesterday and it went up late last night if anyone is interested. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk ☺️

Need to let know her jewelry was a HIT! I got SO many compliments on my outfit (you'll have to wait for my grwm YouTube video to see the whole thing!) and the jewelry was really what I planned my whole look on.
More makeup pix to come but eyes, lips, cheeks are all Devour collection! It's my new fave and I can't wait for everyone to see the video. I love everything about Devour! Also happy to report I've had it on for over 6 hours and it wear-tested perfectly 👍🏻 the liquid lipstick didn't budge all night, the eyeshadow still looks great. More on the whole look soon, I just got home, it's late and sadly I have to wash this all off. But it was a fun evening and I'm so glad I went 🖤☺️🦇🎃👻

I can't get over the awesome comments on this vlog I uploaded last night🙏🏻 thank you to all who watched and commented so far. (link in bio to my YouTube channel or see my story, I linked it).
I uploaded it and then all last night I kept wondering if I shouldn't have said anything, but I couldn't go on doing makeup content or reviews without talking about the things I did in that video. It's been bothering me for months.
For 3+ years I've been creating content regularly and trying to navigate what I want my online presence to represent... What do I want to share and say. 🤔I'm not unhappy with what I've done so far, but I also feel like I've always held back and never let everyone see/hear all of who I really am. I think that was a mistake. Maybe by filtering myself and giving everyone the "watered down" version of me, I have kept myself small. And if you're thinking "THIS has been a watered down version of you?!" 😵‍💫😳 🤣🤣🤣 Yes!

My 💓 girl,
Eliza... Trying to get by as the only Iggy 💓 it's weird. 🥺 The last time we only had a single was in 2001. 😵‍💫 They love their own kind and when we adopted her she had 5 other iggie brothers and sisters. Sadly they all left us for the rainbow bridge over the years, now it's just Eliza. We lost her last sis Trudy on May 13th this year and it's definitely been uncomfy for all of us and we're trying to navigate a lot of sad feelings. Eliza has become a total Velcro dog and wants to go EVERYWHERE with me/us now. If I'm leaving the house, she wants to go. Unfortunately I can't take her every time but I've been taking her out on mom/daughter trips as much as I can 🥰 This weekend we had so much fun at home Depot and the nursery to get mums and other fall decor 🍁🍂🍁 😴

1. Me in around 2006 I believe. Jer is standing in back and my bestie Jamie is on the right.
2. 5 of our 6 first Italian greyhounds that started a lifelong obsession 🥰 I miss them all every single day. Not sure why the first, Velocity, isn't in the pic but she was the original back in March 2001 and these 4 were the rescues that all followed all within 2 years of her arrival in our lives.
3. October 2009, hubby with our kids when we first relocated here to the new state. I still can't believe we moved over 500 miles with 10 dogs 😳🤣 sadly none of them in this photo are with us anymore. I like to think they're all waiting to see us again someday... All but 1 of them were rescues 💓💓💓

No I didn't get two new pups! 🤣
At least i can say the reason I didn't have time to do makeup content today is because I was very busy turning these 2 sisters- 6 month old puppies -into literal Teddy Bears! 🐻🐻🧸🧸 I'm actually excited to watch them grow into this style, they still have very fuzzy puppy coats so it'll be awesome when they're fuller and "rounder" 🤭🐻 They had never had a full day of styling so this was a busy day for us but they were a dream to work on.
💓New clients Honey and Mylah! 💓They get gold stars for being so incredibly calm and great for their first big haircuts! 🌟🌟

Puppies. The answer is always puppies 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I freaking love my job. Peter Monn always says he's blessed to do a job he loves...so am I. If I ever could make a living creating content, I still would do my job. I love it too much, I get paid to make dogs adorable and their families happy, and also I'm pretty sure my clients would never let me quit 🤭🤣 they're very loyal and I love them! 🙏🏻

vet checkup was yesterday.
Spolier alert: she's been from the day she arrived in rescue and I knew this when I adopted her. In fact that's WHY I wanted to adopt her 🥰💓💗
The thing is, no one really knows all the stuff I do behind the scenes for my dogs, how much I worry, all the research I do to try to do the best I can for them.
Luna's heart murmurs (she has them in both "tubes" and is on heart meds) are always a concern, along with back knee issues, premature blindness and other issues due to bad breeding and poor care when she was a growing puppy 😞. Now she's also kidney-challenged.😣😖
Got Luna's urine and blood checked yesterday. She now needs to be on a renal support diet. I've been researching/shopping for the best options out there since she HATES the (non) taste of Science Diet (and all the chemicals) and refused to eat it the first time we tried earlier this year. She's the pickiest eater in the house for sure -she definitely makes it tougher on mom to find a kidney friendly food she will actually eat 🤷🏼‍♀️

It isn't easy being this cute and high maintenance, but she does it well 🤭🤭🤭

As for my other 3 dogs:
Dude is diabetic and has kidney issues, is losing his vision as a side effect of being diabetic. 🥺 He goes to the vet once a month to get blood glucose testing.
Eliza has leukemia and once a month we go get her white cell count tested to see if she needs treatment. We aren't there yet... but I worry for the day the other shoe drops and she needs it. I dread that day.
was born with no eyes but is otherwise so far healthy 💓🙏🏻
Needless to say, there are many reasons I haven't posted as much content but these are the 4 main reasons. 💓💗💓💗 They ALWAYS come first, I need everyone to understand that.

Seriously though, I am very loving, dedicated and passionate flock pet mom. You have to be to go out in thunderstorms to check on your chickens and ducks to be sure they have food and fresh water in their run.
Fortunately I have an amazing partner in crime who bought us two coops that are attached by a secure, enclosed & most importantly, COVERED run with plenty of room for when the flock can't come out due to storms... Like now! 🌩⛈
When they're inside though, it means more trips for me out to freshen up the waterers and bowls. Next time I'll just take a bar of soap and I can shower outside 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️⛈
Well, maybe not today... The thunder and lightening made me move as fast as possible, but the flock is happy and safe 🥰🥰🥰⛈🥰🥰🥰

My dad is going to be 93 in October. He and my mom were high school sweethearts and he misses her so much (we all do obviously but none of our loss can ever compare with his 🥺)
My parents would be celebrating over 70+ years together if she was still here.

It took him months to get everything he wanted for it, but my dad finally finished his love's memorial. I think my mom would think it was way over the top, but she was always humble ♥️

I think it's perfect 💝

We love you Mom and miss you every day but thanks for keeping me safe on the trip... ❤️

He's my bff, soulmate, my twin, my brother...and my world is so awesome just knowing he's in it, albeit 527 miles away ♥️
Cherish your friends, people. I don't get to see mine nearly enough. If you live close to people you love, see them! Really really talk to them, spend quality time together. If you don't live a 9 to 11 hr drive one way from them, you have NO excuse for not enjoying time together. I'd give anything to be closer to my friends and family back in Michigan, but it is what it is and our home is here in Pennsylvania. Now quit reading this nonsense and go tell your friends and family you love how much they mean to you.
