If the patriotic propaganda is true then “all of our rights are defended by brave people in uniform & without them we would lose those rights / freedom.”

So if the patriotic propaganda is true every right you have “requires the labor of others” to exist.

So do we admit the patriotic propaganda is wrong or do we admit that the labor of others helping others for the good of all is how a proper society is supposed to work.

“Every man for themselves” is not the way to run a society.

Mom will be home in about an hour. Bro is headed to get some of her things and pick her up. Meds are arranged. Follow on care is arranged. Everything is arranged before she is leaving the hospital.

Mom is out of the ICU and in a normal room. She is a lot more aware of what is going on than she was yesterday. We have her meds arranged for when she is discharged. Which if a few more tests and PT checks go well may be tomorrow.

We are talking with them about arranging home health to assist while she finishes recovery at home but everything seems like after some recovery just have to manage meds and all good.

Really liking the team she has treating her now.

Bro texted me, my cancer survivor mother is back in the hospital. She went to the ER last night and after multiple tests they ruled out it wasn’t brain cancer again but diabetes. They got her blood sugar under control and sent her home.

Because of pharmacy issues she wasn’t able to get insulin prescribed and had to be taken back to the hospital by ambulance because of seizures. She is admitted but they are on their third attempt at a prescription that can be filled because of shortages.

Hospitals should not be discharging people without their prescriptions of life saving drugs in hand. Stop sending people out into the wild hoping they get the care they need.

(Jokes. I am getting a referral to a specialist who will translate and design a plan.)

A friendly reminder the “TikTok Ban” is not just a “TikTok Ban.” It gives a major abuse of power to the federal government to ban apps and websites they deem “a security risk.”

The internet is a global entity, the label of “foreign-controlled entities” as a standard of banning is so broad a majority of apps you use on a daily basis could be at risk.

So for everyone asking when videos are coming back, soon, hopefully.

I think I finished the round of medical appointments to get myself well. I have a long list of new medications to take, some new diagnoses, and more things to file with the VA. But once the new medication kicks in I should be good for videos.

So not dead, just mostly.

Saw this on the “other site” and tried it myself. Go into your Amazon app and search for “thank my driver”. Click what comes up and your last driver gets an extra $5 bucks, no cost to us.

Some people on the other site did it and it didn’t say the $5 bucks part so that may be regional. I don’t know.

But if we get these drivers some extra cash we need to try spamming the hell out of that every order.
