Okaloosa County public safety officials have opened cold weather shelters for those in need.

In northern Okaloosa County, the Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless, located at 120 Duggan Ave, will open beginning Thursday night (Oct. 30) and Friday night (Oct. 31).

The shelter opens each day at 6 p.m. More information can be found by calling the shelter at 850-398-5670.

No shelters in southern Okaloosa County are open at this time.
