He was turned on to the mainstream sound of Electronica when he and his friends would frequent the nightclub Oasis. He got a thrill of how the music would make him and others shake their groove thang on the floor, from that point he was hooked. After graduating from the University of Memphis and moving to Nashville to work, he became more intrigued with Electronica. His co-worker, Justin Samples, also was into Electronica and wanted to become a dj. Justin's roommate, Foohay, had as set of turntables that one day Ego played on. He spent a couple of hours trying to match beats and just playing around and at that point he knew he wanted to dj. Later that year, Ego had a chance to see Terry Mullans in Nashville. Hearing his style, feeling the music, and seeing how it made people feel good, Ego decided to spin house music. Since 1999, Eric has been a club, radio, and mobile DJ. He currently owns N-Sound Mobile Entertainment, LLC and is looking forward to being on the “radio” again.
