🤰🏻Pregnancy NO REPEATS Workout Total Body MASH UP! This workout is safe for all trimesters including postpartum after you have been cleared for exercise!

In this workout routine I have combined some of my favorite exercises from previous videos into one video. Grab your dumbbells for added resistance and a chair or box for an incline.

🛑👉🏻some of the exercises have a small jump in them but feel free to take out the jump. It’s your workout! Everyday is different when you’re pregnant!

My name is Mylee! I’m a certified personal trainer and prenatal/postpartum fitness specialist.

I post weekly FREE workouts and tips related to pregnancy and postpartum fitness on my YouTube channel

Pregnancy can be such an exciting time full of all kinds of emotions. Tears laughter joy and all the above! I get it.

BUT it can also leave your body vulnerable and weak at times due to the changes that have to be made for baby or babies! 👶🏻 which is awesome because we have a superpower right?! 💙

🤰🏻🫶🏼HEAL & RESTORE your core and pelvic floor with this "Postpartum Exercises Before 6 Weeks" video (postpartum recovery during the first 6-8 weeks after delivery)💖💖💖

In this video I am going to show you 6 different exercises that are to be slowly progressed adding one exercise each week.

If your suffering from DIASTASIS RECTI:
I highly recommend making an appointment with a pelvic floor PT! BUT these exercises are a great way to start healing you DR.

It’s is encouraged to start pelvic floor exercises and light walking soon after delivery within the first week. This is also based off your comfort level especially If you had any complications such as tears to the perineum or a c-section. You know your body better than anyone. BUT Again always talk to your doctor before starting any type of exercise.

You shouldn’t experience any pain, bright red bleeding or abnormal discharge. If you experience any of these symptoms please stop exercise and call you doctor.

In this workout I am 27 weeks pregnant going into my final trimester so I designed it safe for 2nd and 3rd trimesters but you can do this workout if you are only in your 1st and even if you are postpartum (after you have been cleared for exercise by your doctor).

➡️ There are jumping exercises but modifies have been provided.
➡️ 2 rest periods are included
➡️ I am using a variety of dumbbells so make sure you grab yours too 😉

🤰🏻👶🏻 After C-Section Recovery Workout | Postpartum Full Body Exercises!

This is a 30 minute full body workout for all postpartum mama’s in general who have just been cleared to start exercise again. We are going to be covering some basic “gentle” core and pelvic floor work to start because you are still so newly postpartum we need to be mindful of what your body just went through!
Then moving on to upper and lower body strengthening with zero equipment required!

🌟 If you are just starting back and you feel a full body workout is too much then it is absolutely okay to stop after the core and pelvic floor exercises.
🌟 Remember to always listen to your body.
🌟 You should not feel pain when doing these exercises.
🌟 A few exercises do have modifications provided!
🌟 This workout is pregnancy friendly (see below)

In this video I am currently 26 weeks pregnant so I will be using a couple pillows for an incline.

🤰🏻👉🏻 The Best SAFE Ab Workout For Pregnancy! This core workout is safe for all trimesters and also postpartum mama’s.

💙 These are my 10 favorite core exercises that I enjoy doing throughout my pregnancy to help maintain a strong foundation and to help prepare me for an easier delivery.
💙 While 24 weeks pregnant I am mindful of safe core exercises and trying to prevent diastasis recti. These are the exercises I have come up with that works great for my body. Make sure you always listen to your body making sure there is no coning or doming at the midline of your abdomen when doing these core exercises. Everyone is different!
💙 You can always come back and do this workout a couple times a week OR you can even repeat it for a longer version.

🫶🏼 Save this post to come back to later for your postpartum recovery plan! Recovery plan can be just as important as a birth plan.

5️⃣ Things you should include in your postpartum recovery plan:

1) start meal prepping in your third trimester. Save yourself some time and energy. Plus you can make it healthy!

2) get yourself an abdominal wrap to support healing tissues in your abdomen and encourage muscle realignment.

3) make yourself some homemade ice packs. They will already be premade with easy access! Try this for your ice pack: place 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol and 1 cup of water in Ziploc baggie. Apply every 15 minutes several times a day.

4) begin pelvic floor contractions and breath work within the first few days postpartum depending on comfort level.

5) seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist 6-8 weeks postpartum will help guide you back into exercise and retrain the pelvic floor properly.

At home 30 Minute Advanced Pregnancy Workout 💪🏼 This is a HIIT style workout that is pregnancy friendly for mama's whose exercise level is advanced. Although, I have added modifications for easier levels and by trimester! All you need is a sturdy chair for the incline exercises if you are in your 2nd/3rd trimester. There are 20 exercises with no repeats. 45s of work followed by 15s of rest. We will take a short 1 min break after 10 exercises. Warm up and cool down included! This 30 minute advanced pregnancy workout will have you feeling like you have had a great workout but also it is safe for mama and baby. 3 common pelvic floor dysfunctions impacted from pregnancy and delivery (this includes c-section)
1. Pelvic organ prolapse 2. Pelvic pain such as back pain and pain during s*x 3. Urinary incontinence such as leaking urine while laughing or jumping. ✨✨✨Here are some ways that may help prevent these dysfunctions: 1. Rethink high impact activities postpartum. Consider low impact activities such as walking, biking, squats and lunges without jumping. Be mindful of what your body just went through. It took 9 months to create and birth your baby it may take just as much time to recover (depending on the person!) 2. Sit upright straight in a chair on your actual bottom not slouched over sitting on your tail bone. Take breaks from sitting. 3. Stretching hamstrings on a daily basis will help with proper pelvic floor alignment 4. Let gravity take its course as you prepare for birth. Practice low squat stretching, side lying position, and getting on all 4’s (hands and knees). This will help shorten your labor. ✨ follow for more prenatal tips and education. How intense should exercise be while pregnant?
1) You should be able to carry on a conversation while exercising. In other words, if you are so breathless you cannot talk to someone the intensity might be too much. Using the “Talk Test” while you workout is a great method! 2) You should not be sweating profusely (aka sweat pouring down your body) 3) intensity levels should be moderate to somewhat hard 4) these levels are 3-4/10 on the 10 point Borg rating of perceived exertion scale!
