The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) held a significant advisory meeting in Muzaffargarh, where esteemed journalists from across the district congregated. The gathering was marked by passionate speeches from prominent members, emphasizing the organization's commitment to safeguarding the rights and safety of journalists in Pakistan.
In his address, Rana Sheraz Bashir, the President PFUJ Muzaffargarh, highlighted the organization's tireless efforts in advocating for journalist's well-being. He pledged that the PFUJ would persistently fight and raise its voice for the safety and rights of journalists on all relevant platforms in Pakistan. Sheraz Bashir encouraged journalists to stand strong, fostering unity within their ranks, and spreading the noble cause and motto of the PFUJ.
Zeshan Akbar Naqash, the General Secretary of PFUJ Muzaffargarh, expressed unwavering confidence in the leadership of Central President Pervez Shaukat. Zeshan Akbar Naqash believed that Shaukat's spirited and courageous guidance would address the challenges faced by journalists effectively.
An upcoming oath-taking ceremony was announced during the meeting, signaling the PFUJ's determination to expand its network from the district level to the tehsils and towns. This expansion aims to gather more journalists and like-minded individuals who can join forces to fight for journalists' rights and safety.
During the proceedings, Chairman Nazeer Lashari and Chief Organizer Saleem Akhtar Joiya emphasized the PFUJ's exceptional contribution in providing a remarkable platform for writers and journalists. They stressed that it was the responsibility of the newly elected administrative body and working committee of PFUJ Muzaffargarh to prioritize the collective benefits and advocate for the vast array of rights within the journalist community, putting individual interests aside.
Distinguished members of the PFUJ, including Senior Vice President Sayed Hasan Kazmi, Vice Presidents Tariq Qureshi and Rana Zulfiqar, Joint Secretary Saqib Lodhi, Secretary Information Malik Asim Awan, Secretary Finance Rehman Saeed Bhutta, and Members of the Working Committee, Chaudhry Umar Draz, Malik Azhar Malana, Shahid Hameed Qureshi, Khuram Mlayzai, Shoaib Mirza, Rana Tehseen, and Sheikh Abid Hussain, also contributed valuable suggestions during the ceremony.
Furthermore, PFUJ membership cards were awarded to the deserving journalists as a symbol of their commitment to the cause and their affiliation with the organization.
