The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Abdulahi Ganduje says APC Presidential Aspirant Senator Godswill Akpabio’s antecedent qualifies him to be the next President of Nigeria in 2023.

He said the Senator’s achievements have spoken on his behalf as he left behind a developed Akwa-Ibom in terms of infrastructure and otherwise.

The governor made these remarks at the coronation hall in Kano State Government House during a courtesy call on him by presidential aspirant Senator Godswill Akpabio and his campaign organization.

Governor Ganduje thanked Sen. Akpabio for his support to AREWA Community in Akwa Ibom saying that he got a call from them to make Sen. Akpabio feel at home and very comfortable while in Kano.

Governor Ganduje took the Presidential Aspirant Senator Akpabio on a site inspection. He said come 2023, the Senator might be Commissioning the projects as the elected President of Nigeria.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Obong Nsima Ekere.

This was made known by EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren in a press Statement on Wednesday.

Mr Nsima Ekere was picked up for allegedly diverting the sum of N47 billion.

It was gathered that the former NDDC boss allegedly laundered the funds through registered contractors of the commission.

Recall that on Monday, the anti-graft agency also arrested the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris for an alleged N80bn fraud.

A former House of Representatives Speaker, Patricia Etteh was also arrested on Tuesday by the EFCC for allegedly diverting over N200m NDDC contract.
