Let's recap! I'm getting asked the same questions frequently.
● Cordarius was found outside in an alley by a resident of Midland Texas on Sunday, January 29, 2023. The resident called the police.
●The police took Cordarius to the station then called Social Services.
●It became evident that this was a a non verbal child with a disability.
●When given a paper and pen he was asked, "can you write your name" He wrote "Cordarius" several times. It was assumed this must be his name.
●They put his DNA through databases and so far there's no match.
●They have narrowed down his age to be between 13-17 years old.
● The name "Cordarius" was put into databases such as schools, publlic benefits programs, (SSI and welfare) and hospitals. There was no one in his age bracket or the name Cordarius that was a match.
●The authorities check the missing persons registry, there wasn't any missing African American boys fitting Cordarius' description and age.
●No one has come forward to say they know who he is. No one! No mother or father, no grandparents, no aunts or uncles, no siblings or cousins, no teachers or doctors and no neighbors.
●He's nonverbal therefore, unable to tell anyone where he came from. It's unclear to me at this time if he's able to write anything else besides Cordarius.
●He's a ward of the state living with a family as a foster child...he's loved and supported. As we see in his most recent pictures, he appears to be very happy and well taken care of.
If I forgot to mention anything, please bring it to my attention so I can add it. This is a reference guide for people looking for answers.
