The She Rocks Awards designate women who display leadership and stand out within the music industry.

The first event of its kind in the music products industry, the She Rocks Awards were founded by music industry veteran Laura B. Whitmore, and designate women who display leadership and stand out within the music industry. Taking place in Anaheim, Calif., during the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show every year since 2013, the She Rocks Awards ceremony has honored songwriter

2022 She Rocks Awards Honorees Spotlight - Yvette Young! Sponsored by Sweetwater. Yvette Young is the guitarist and writer for the band Covet. In addition to her band, she has a solo project where she plays piano, acoustic guitar, and violin. Yvette grew up classically trained in piano and violin and taught herself guitar while in the hospital. After completing a Fine Art and Visual Performing Arts education degree at UCLA, she worked as an art teacher awhile before transitioning to a full time musician. Because of her own personal experiences with using art and music as her own personal outlets, she is a huge advocate for music as a source of therapy and songwriting as a way to build self esteem and find a voice. The She Rocks Awards 10th Anniversary takes place Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 6:30pm.
