Like any music track that will receive vocals, give it enough SPACE to breathe. The same can be said of us humans. Allow yourself enough room to breathe. When you do, the pressure of this life will release and then you will be able to heal, grow and become a better version of yourself. Stop worrying about sounding like someone else or being as good as the next creative trend or beating “them” at this game. Instead, put your energies and passions into what makes you feel good within your creativity. There will always be people out here who are better or worse at the same things we do artistically. However, try not to see it that way at all if you’re able to because it’s pointless. Don’t torture yourself or doubt yourself because you need to put in the work and never begrudge the success of another person. Essentially, we are all where we choose to be. Give that some thought.

Remember, seek the greatness in everyone around you. Stop trying to find fault in others and negativity just to make yourself feel better. Today, I am LOST. And although I have experienced, witnessed and survived death many times in my life. Today, of all days, I am impacted spiritually, emotionally and physically by a great sense of loss. More so for others than myself; in that, I have become far too accustomed to people I care about dying around me. However, I think that it is important to maintain an empathetic and compassionate heart toward others as they process grief. Now, I don’t know what you’re going through but I want you all to know that the pain will pass and over time; you will heal and a whole person again. You are not alone.

We are born into this existence without asking to be here. We learn to survive and navigate through this world. If we are fortunate, we find love, build a family and thrive. We age and perhaps share our knowledge and wisdom. If blessed, we have good health and longevity. Eventually, we grow much older and die. If we can be so lucky, we maintain our physical freedom, apologize for our bad choices, have some grandchildren and become a fond memory before we pass. And if we a super lucky, we impact the entire world with positivity and hope. When I look at life now, I’ve come to realize that life itself is our rite of PASSAGE. It’s our test and our testimony.
