Remember when?
On Remembrance Da,y Friday 11.11.22, “Dispatch”, the second single from Which Doctor Watson?’s album circular hymns will have its international digital release.
Dispatch is a message from a battlefield in a war of roses, a haunting a capella lament of a stranger in a strange land who travels to the other side of the world to found a family but eventually must acknowledge that the dream is foundering and his family is falling apart.
For those who did not secure the CD at its release a decade ago, this is a golden opportunity.

Liesl has released a limited cassette edition of 7 songs as a special ""retro"" offer specially recorded in Goldfinger studios.
Here is a message from Liesl describing the project and info about how to acquire this rarity -

"a while ago we recorded a live session of 7 stripped down songs onto cassette at Goldfinger Recordings in berlin.


each cassette has been individually duplicated, and each cover design printed by hand, and is therefore slightly different from every other one.


the result is something very diy, intimate and imperfect. I am selling each cassette for 10€, and all proceeds will be going back into the production of my creative projects.


this has been a very fun (despite being immensely tedious) project, and 77 cassettes/prints are now ready to find new homes.


because i don’t actually have a cassette player.


if you live in berlin, you can message me here or anywhere else, and your cassette will be delivered to you by (my) (hand-sanitised) hand.


if you live somewhere else in germany, europe, or the rest of the planet, the cassette is available to order on bandcamp.

In other news, i will be playing at the Most Wanted: Music showcase on thursday the 5th (that is in 2 days). I will be playing all the songs from my EP with a full band.

There are new lockdown restrictions, but the event will continue online.

If you’d like to virtually be there, the event will be livestreamed here.

My showtime will be at 18:30 (CET), but there are many artists worth checking out starting from 15:00.

So then perhaps just stay healthy, and as sane as possible.

It's the 30th anniversary of the fall of the wall in Berlin today.
A music sound sculpture documentary by Matthew McGrath and Peter Tucholski, “Wall Or Nothing” was originally broadcast as “Mauer zu Nicht” for DeutschlandRadio in 1999 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of events surrounding the fall of the wall in Berlin. A musical bilingual collage of radio broadcasts, personal interviews ands eyewitness accounts, “Wall Or Nothing” narrates the irony of misplaced trust personal and public.
