88rising hosted its inaugural Moonrise Gala to celebrate and honor global Asian talents such as Grammy winner Anderson Paak; entertainer, entrepreneur, and fashion icon Jackson Wang; Indonesian singer-songwriter and producer NIKI; Filipino-American dance-pop singer Jocelyn Enriquez; hip-hop turntablists group Invisibl Skratch Piklz; and Destin Daniel Cretton, the American filmmaker behind Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) we are shining a spotlight on the API communities with a variety of shows and films with some of your favorite stars - including the brutally honest musings of Ali Wong, the over-the-top emotions of Devi in Never Have I Ever and the plot twists of Dwayne Johnson’s Red Notice.
This collection, called Our Roots, Our Stories, celebrates and amplifies the voices and stories from these communities who are making an indelible impact in entertainment. The collection artwork was created by Hong Kong-born, LA-based illustrator Matthew Kam, who was inspired by the uniqueness of each culture and its visual language.
Our Roots, Our Stories will feature over 380 titles ranging from dramas like Fistful of Vengeance to documentaries such as Naomi Osaka and comedy including Never Have I Ever, Ali Wong: Don Wong and, Jo Koy: In His Elements, and many more.
