WCKS - The Whale Grand Valley State University's Student Radio Station WCKS The Whale is Grand Valley State University’s only student-run radio station.

We are located in 055 Kirkhof Center at GVSU’s Allendale Campus (in the basement, back by the kitchen). The Whale offers talk shows, music, news, and coverage of many GVSU sports. Any member of the student body or faculty may become a DJ on WCKS, given approval by the executive board and training on the equipment. It's done!

The all-new WCKS studios went live last night. There's now room for two hosts and a guest. Digital capability for remote broadcast remains, and - coming later this term - an all-new studio playback system with a much larger capacity for holding more song titles.

We're very excited to help the next generation of radio broadcasters get their start, and to provide information and entertainment for the Grand Valley State University community.
