We've been holding rehearsals since January with a lovely cast that spans all over the world. First-time theater director has been adjusting to working in a new field, and wouldn't have been able to pull this off without the never-ending support of and 🌹🌹 With all the love and care this production has had, we're excited that the day is coming when we can finally show you what we've done!

Last year's "Frankenstein" was a roaring success. This year, we decided to go for Jane Austen's iconic novel of manners, "Pride and Prejudice," adapted by Kaela Mei-Shing Garvin. Our production is directed by Jessica W. Chen 陳文怡 and features an amazingly talented cast spanning the globe from Australia to the UK to Canada and the US.

It's official! Re-Casting the Movies just launched the first episode of our podcast, Re-Cast: The Podcast, available on Anchor and Spotify! We discuss movies, the industry, and how diversity and community affect TV and film with the help of some very special guests! In episode one, the team shares our thoughts on the lack of diversity behind the scenes of Mulan (2020), and speaks to Philip LaZebnik, one of the screenwriters of Mulan (1998) about how to effectively tell diverse stories.
