Did you know the opening line of your copy is the most important? 🤯

It's true! Those first few words are what hook your reader's attention and make them want to keep going.

Too often, businesses bury the most compelling part of their message by starting with fluff instead of getting straight to the point.

So here's a tip: Lead with the biggest benefit or most surprising fact up front. Don't make people work to find out why they should care.

Just as an example, instead of: "ACME Company offers cleaning products that are great for the environment." Try: "Reduce your carbon footprint everytime you tackle the housewok with our certified eco-friendly product range."

Which one would make you keep reading?

Over to you: Review the opening lines of your latest marketing material. Did you bury the best part? Rewrite those hooks to lead with the most compelling information first.

When you nail that opening line, more readers will get drawn into your message and take the next step with you.

Q: How long should a blog post be?
A: Because blogs and articles are the bread and butter of content marketing, you really want to make those words count. Of course, there's no hard and fast rule.... but..... always look to publish a minimum of 500 words.

Of course, if you've got a meaty topic you want to explore in depth. go hard and knock yourself out! Blog posts of 2500 words or more make great pillar content as long as they're formatted to be easily read and it's valuable content that's not been strung out for the sake of it.
