Greetings all and welcome back to another episode of the podcast! My guest this week, Kara Goodwin, is all things beautiful and meditative! And that last descriptor is deliberately on purpose ;-) because Kara has her very own podcast call The Meditation Conversation in which she dives into all things meditation and so much else! She’s also just beautifully kind and when I asked her to be a guest on the show she said YES so very quickly...it made my heart happy!
She tells a story of revelation this week-and one that was very unexpected. During a CE-5 event (in which humans work to initiate contact with other beings) she was given a vision that touched her so deeply at the time it made her sob openly...and changed the way she views this world and her place in it. Her story includes Gene Keys (look them up!), Sacred Geometry (look this up too!) as well as synchronicity galore!! (and you know how I love a good synchronicity or two!)

It’s not enough that my dear guest survived open heart surgery, but she also survived a traumatic brain injury, as well as breaking both of the bones in her leg. And then there’s the powerful story of losing her dear friend to murder, when Boots was younger! this powerful human has survived all of these struggles, and has emerged on the other end with a really beautiful way of viewing life. About some of my college days and the Madonna incident, which, curiously, has come up a few times in the last few months. (once with my sister at a party when she met two girlfriends of mine, who are older, who said, “oh, Rud! She did the Madonna thing, and Amy and I, who brought it up independently. Who knows why these memories are surfacing now for all? Or why that time is being brought up? Is it to remind me of something? Who can tell).
How the death of a beloved mother, who was always into levity and laughter and joy, can become a thing of beauty,
AND, how with Amy’s Mom...and the day of her death, her spirit trumped everything and created ridiculous situation after ridiculous situation. (truly, I was laughing while interviewing her, oy vey...)

I GOT TO INTERVIEW ALBUQUERQUE’S POET LAUREATE-Hakim Bellamy, who is a serious badass! The episode starts off with him reciting his poem “Chronomentrophobia” and gets better from there! He’s a writer, a musician, a poet (did I mention that?), a TV host, and oh yes, he’s also going to law school with an aim to affecting NM legislation, so that it benefits all.
