After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare.

Don't waste this precious human life in pleasing/impressing others or getting attached to others. One day everyone is going to say goodbye to you. You will forget everyone and everything after you leave this body.

So start serving/pleasing Krishna and get never-ending pleasure😍

“People are mad after sense gratification, and they do not know that this present body, which is full of miseries, is a result of one’s fruitive activities in the past. Although this body is temporary, it is always giving one trouble in many ways. Therefore, to act for sense gratification is not good. One is considered to be a failure in life as long as he makes no inquiry about his real identity. As long as he does not know his real identity, he has to work for fruitive results for sense gratification, and as long as one is engrossed in the consciousness of sense gratification one has to transmigrate from one body to another. Although the mind may be engrossed in fruitive activities and influenced by ignorance, one must develop a love for devotional service to Vāsudeva. Only then can one have the opportunity to get out of the bo***ge of material existence.”

*BG 5.2 Purport by HDG Srila Prabhupada*

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.1.10

O learned one, in this iron Age of Kali men almost always have but short lives. They are quarrelsome, lazy, misguided, unlucky and, above all, always disturbed.

We forget Krishna because
we forget sufferings,
we forget that death is near,
we forget we are souls,
We forget we are not this body & mind,
We forget we belong to Him,
we forget His unconditional Love,
we forget we are completely dependent on Him,
we forget we are not controllers & enjoyers,
We forget we are in illusion,
we forget we are eternal,
we forget what is real happiness,
WE FORGET THAT WE FORGOT..
& We let Maya control us

The mind is such a big enemy, in a flash of a second it can consume a human life. Trigger warning ⚠️ reference of self harm, su!c!de.
In a heartbreaking incident on New Year's Day, 21-year-old Varshini, a final-year BBA student passionate about photography, took her own life after her parents advised her against attending a New Year revelry for photography due to safety concerns. This incident prompts us to reflect on the direction society is heading and the pressing need for mental well-being and spiritual wisdom.

The question arises: Can achieving external milestones truly fulfill a person? Varshini's story highlights the impulsive nature of the mind and the significance of thinking twice before making drastic decisions. The desire to showcase one's life on social media has become a pervasive trend, often overshadowing rational thinking.

Parents, in their concern for Varshini's safety, made a decision that tragically ended in her demise. This raises a crucial question: Should parents always say yes to everything their children desire? The incident underscores the importance of instilling rationality and critical thinking, and here, the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita becomes profoundly relevant.

Is the pursuit of spiritual knowledge and devotion, as advocated in the Bhagavad Gita, not crucial in shaping a person's perspective? The Gita encourages introspection, rational decision-making, and a holistic approach to life. Perhaps, if Varshini had been equipped with such spiritual insights, the outcome might have been different.

While therapy and counseling are essential, the incident challenges us to consider their effectiveness in cases where the mind acts swiftly without a moment's thought. Won't incorporating spiritual teachings and mental well-being practices, starting from an early age, be a more comprehensive approach to addressing these challenges?

The tragedy emphasizes the need to prioritize the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita from childhood, debunking the notion that it is outdated. Instead, it emerges as a timeless guide, offering profound wisdom to navigate the complexities of the mind and life's challenges. Society's perspective on the importance of spiritual and mental well-being must evolve, recognizing the critical role these elements play in fostering a balanced and resilient individual.

Thus, It's essential not to take our minds lightly & practice our spiritual life sincerely. However, in the face of suicidal thoughts, it's equally important to seek professional help. May the departed soul attain Sadgati.

"Having come to this temporary and miserable world, engage in loving service unto me"

Purport:
Engage in the loving service of Krishna and quickly go back to him, back home. No one should remain in this temporary world, as it is full of miseries.
(Bhagavad Gita as it is- 9.33)

Oh my Krishna, I have realized my mistake, I don't want to be independent of you and enjoy. Now, I only want to serve you, forever, because you get pleasure and your pleasure is my pleasure.

Instead of treating God as a desire fulfilling machine, Can we pray like this? Can we accept our mistake?

*Unraveling the Purpose of Creation & why are we here*

The enigma surrounding the purpose of our existence and why God created this world perplexes many minds. To fathom this mystery, it's essential to delve into the understanding that Krishna has bestowed upon us a limited degree of independence. This grants us the freedom to act as we choose, yet with this autonomy comes responsibility.

Despite the apparent hand of God in the creation of the world, it's crucial to grasp that the material realm is, in reality, a *creation spurred by our desires, not God's.* This material world serves as a habitat for souls aspiring to *find happiness independently from God.* Under the influence of maya, the veil of illusion, our intelligence is clouded, leading us to aspire for dominion over the world, forgetting our *inherent connection* with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

In this pursuit of playing the role of God, covered by maya, we perceive ourselves as the *lords and masters* of this world. However, the eternal truth remains: God is always God, and we are eternally servants of God. God, understanding our desire to "play God," has crafted this material world to provide us with the illusion of *fulfilling that desire.*

The material world becomes a playground for our desires, constructed not out of God's necessity but to accommodate our *quest for independence*. However, the inherent flaw in this pursuit is that we, as spiritual beings, can never find true satisfaction in material pleasures. Despite the multitude of seemingly pleasurable experiences, the spiritual nature of our being renders material delights ultimately *unsatisfying*.

Krishna's affirmation in the Bhagavad-gita (8.16) underscores the transient nature of happiness in this material realm, marking it as a *place of misery* characterized by perpetual cycles of birth and death.

The sufferings encountered in this world serve as poignant reminders that this *material realm is not our true abode.* The purpose of life, as illuminated by the teachings of the Vedanta Sutra, lies in questioning the means to end this suffering, sparking the initiation of spiritual life.

Our human form is a valuable opportunity for spiritual advancement, and we should recognize the material world's nature as a realm of suffering. Instead of futilely attempting to make this world comfortable, the Vedic way of life advocates "plain living and high thinking." Living simply, focusing on maintaining the body, and channeling time and energy into developing Krishna consciousness aligns us with the true purpose of life.

Despite advancements in science, medicine, and technology, attempting to enhance our material comfort, happiness remains an unattainable goal. The fixed nature of our karma determines the balance of suffering and enjoyment in our lives, unaffected by technological progress.

Embracing the Vedic way encourages a life of simplicity, using our time to develop Krishna consciousness. *Chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra* emerges as the recommended practice in this age to ensure that we remember Krishna at the time of death, facilitating our return to the spiritual world and true happiness. The essence lies in organizing our lives to remember Krishna consistently, making every moment a step toward spiritual fulfillment.

*Thus God didn't send us here, it is us who chose to come here out of our free will.*
