*Valentine's day -A Day to know your eternal Love* ❤️

Our greatest need besides food, clothing and shelter is *Love* . Without love, we cannot exist. We all want to love someone and want someone else to love us. It is the greatest hankering of everyone in the world. Today on Valentine's day millions of greetings and gifts would have been exchanged, Billions of rupees on that special dinner and outings just to express our love. In India alone, according to a survey in 2015, *Valentine's day is a market of around 22000 crore*. Why so much craze for love? Why is this one's greatest hankering? Why can't we survive without love? *Everyone wants & desires love.* Even a small child doesn't like to be scolded or wants to feel unloved.

It is because love is the *basis* of creation. Real love exists in the spiritual world between a soul and Krishna, the Supreme Object of love. When love comes to the material world, it becomes tainted. In the material world our love is not real because they are based on the body & we are not the body. we love somebody for getting something in return. That is not pure love. Pure love is different. *Pure love is to serve and give happiness to the other, without conditions or selfish motivations. It is unmotivated and uninterrupted.*

Regarding love affairs in the material world: they are only shadows or reflections of the real love with Krishna. Krishna in *Bg 15.1* says that the *material world is a perverted(inverted) reflection of the spiritual world.* What we see here in the material world is only a perverted reflection, a shadow, of that real love. You can understand this if you think of a mango tree reflected in a lake.

In the reflection you can see the tree and the mangos. It looks like there are *mangoes in the reflection* on the water. But really there are no mangoes in the reflection, they are in the tree. So if foolishly you accept the reflection as reality and try to taste the mangoes reflected in the lake all your attempts will be futile. You will not be able to ever taste the mangoes in this way. You will just get wet…

Thus, *Pure Love doesn’t exist in the material world* . Love means to give, give and give, whereas lust means to take, take, and in between them is give and take checked by many conditions hence leads to frustration. But, if you love Krishna in any capacity, you shall never be frustrated because everything in Krishna is perfect, eternal, blissful, and full of knowledge.So *love is real* , it is there in the spiritual world in relationship with Krishna,

So this Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate with Krishna and serve him well. Lets try to re-establish our lost relationship with Him which we have forgotten. The love for Krishna is dormant in every living beings's heart. You will get unmotivated true love only at His lotus feet and will never turn disappointed.

*This Valentine's Day: Lets Reawaken our Dormant Love For God*

As the world paints itself in shades of love on Valentine's Day, there's a unique valentine waiting in the spiritual realm – Lord Krishna. His love transcends the boundaries of human understanding, offering an unparalleled and unconditional affection for each soul.

Imagine telling someone you don't want them, and instead of turning away, they create a vast universe just for you. Krishna, in His boundless love, granted us the desire to live separately from Him. To facilitate our enjoyment, He fashioned intricate material bodies, like machines, for our spiritual selves to explore the world He meticulously crafted.

Despite our denial of His existence and at times even questioning His character, Krishna remains the benevolent provider. He bestows sunlight, moonlight, rain, sustenance, air, and the very bodies we inhabit. He observes our actions, guides us through reactions, and sends enlightened souls to awaken our dormant spirituality.

Under the spell of Maya, Krishna veils our inherent love for Him, allowing us to taste the material world's pleasures without the constant awareness of our divine connection. We form small families, harbor grand ambitions, and revel in our perceived independence, forgetting that we are all interconnected parts of Krishna.

In this intricate dance of life, Krishna orchestrates the symphony of our existence. He oversees the needs of an infinite family of souls, ensuring our every breath, heartbeat, and sustenance. Unlike the challenges we face in managing even a small family, Krishna's love remains unwavering and boundless.

This Valentine's Day, let's awaken the dormant love for God within our hearts. We are His, and our ultimate source of love and happiness lies in His devotional service. Why delay? Krishna patiently waits for our return like a loving father waiting for a rebellious child. Let's not prolong our separation and become devoted followers of Krishna, embracing the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. It's time to journey back to our eternal valentine, where our hearts find their true home in the divine love of Lord Krishna.

*Celebrate kiss day differently*

Getting up everyday and craving for your cup of tea or coffee? Drinking milk everyday? Having curd, paneer, ghee, cheese, butter, icecream and sweet delicacies made from milk. Going or ordering the supermarket or getting the milk from a vendor to fulfill above requirements? But wait in between all this, you have someone to be grateful to. *Mother Cow* whose milk we being drinking from childhood. Cow milk is a *nutrient dense food* full of essential vitamins and minerals for the over-all development of the body.

Cows are referred as the *backbone* of Indian culture and the rural economy. They are known as “ *Kamdhenu* ” and “ *Gaumata* ” because of her nourishing nature like mother, the giver of all & providing riches to humanity. *Expressing our gratitude to her, hugging kissing and embracing her will be the best way we can celebrate kiss day* . On top of that they are Lord Krishna's favorite too 😍. He tends to cows in His *spiritual Abode Goloka Vrindavan* too being surrounded by millions of them, hence His one of the names is *Gopal* . In *Bg 10.28* Krishna says among cows I am the *Surabhi* .

Recently the Indian govt also requested the citizens to celebrate *Valentine's day as Cow hug day* . According to the Animal Welfare Board, "Hugging with cow will bring *emotional richness.* It is a chance to feel warm sentiments and be joyful, highlighting the value of cows in our society. It can increase our *individual and collective happiness & make life happy and full of positive energy".*

*Cuddling cows* in the West has become the latest *wellness fad* to sweep the Western world,
Hugging a cow can be immensely calming due to the animal’s warmer body temperature, slower heartbeat, and enormous size. Giving the cow a backrub, relaxing against them, or even getting licked are all common parts of the *therapeutic* interaction.

Cow cuddling gained even more popularity in America, particularly during *Covid* . It has become a very lucrative business with the price ranging from $75 to $200 each hour.
Cow has always been worshipped and revered in our Sanatan Dharma from centuries.

We all know that we are eternal souls but still we are not able to internalize it and live our daily life according to this understanding. Lord Krishna has given our identity in Bhagavad Gita as an *eternal soul* who is not subjected to birth or death. WE are unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval, not slain when the body is slain.

Still due to ignorance we think we are this body and look for happiness in bodily connections. Our pursuit for happiness is continuing in the material world from *time immemorial*, still we are not yet satisfied & wont be in future because we are not matter. When we come to understanding the soul and live life according to it, we find that only *God is the person who can truly love and satisfy us*. Since we are part and parcel of shri Krishna as He tells in 15th chapter, naturally our love should be directed towards Him. Only in eternality can we reap unlimited joy which we are seeking. *A living entity is made such by the Lord that He is the happiest in serving Him lovingly.*

Even a 1000 number of hugs in the world won't be able to satisfy us because we are not this body. Our requirements are different. Here everything is temporary. The feelings are also temporary. The person whom you hugged today with lot of feelings & felt really good. 10 years down the line not necessarily we will have the same feeling.

But with Krishna equation is entirely different because he is transcendental & we belong to Him eternally. So naturally being a soul trapped in a material body only and only loving devotional service towards Lord Shri Krishna can satisfy us & give contentment. So this hug day we should take a vow that we would be applying the teachings of Bhagavad Gita in our life and also teach it to others so that everybody can experience the bliss, the satisfaction and the happiness which is in the loving hug of Lord Sri Krishna. *He is anxiously waiting for us to come back to His abode in the spiritual world.* And we never know He might welcome us back with a hug 😍. The best Hug one can ever receive. *The Hug we actually need.*

We have ourselves experienced that the promises in material world are all banavti and nakli ( false and made up) for some gains. People will promise they will love each other forever, but later *love vanishes* & they keep fighting over & would be ready even to kill the other. Ppl will promise they will return the *money* taken from you on this date and then disappear. They will promise that they will always be *there for you* and yet it won't take a moment for them to leave you alone. We promise ourselves to eat healthy, sleep on time and exercise yet we fall for that another *Netflix* series and binge watch it. Since promises here are based on time, place, circumstances, our changing nature, lack of determination , being a very small powerless controlled entity & living a conditional life we can't fulfill all the promises we make.

But, For God *nothing is impossible.* He can fulfill all His promises because He is all powerful, all wealthy, all beautiful, all knowledgeable, all famous & all renunciated. He doesn't change according to time and circumstances & doesn't expect any gains from us. *His promises in Bhagavad Gita are valid even now and in anytime to come in future. They are real and eternal.*

Here are few promises He made in Bhagavad Gita to us:

*Bg 8.7* - Always think of Me & do your duties, you will attain Me without doubt.”
*Bg 9.22-* Those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion – to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have.
*Bg 9.31* - My devotee never perishes.
*Bg 9.34* - Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me.”
*Bg 10.10-* To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.
*Bg 11.55-* he who engages in My pure devotional service, who makes Me the supreme goal of his life, and who is friendly to every living being—he certainly comes to Me.”
*Bg 12.6-7-* Those who fix their minds upon Me, I am the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death.
*Bg 12.8* -Just fix your mind and intelligence in Me. Thus you will live in Me always, without a doubt.”
*Bg 18.58* - you can pass over all obstacles of conditional Life by my grace.
*Bg 18.65-* Always think of Me, become My devotee & worship Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.”
*Bg 18.66-* Just surender to Me. I shall deliver you from all kinds of sinful reactions. Do not fear.

Lord Krishna promises all this because He *truly loves us* & wants us to have an eternal happy & blissful life without any suffering. Point is do we trust Him? Or we fall for promises of this world & make ourselves ready to be dejected. *Choice is ours.*

Along with this we shouldn't forget that we too have made a *promise to Lord Krishna* when we were in the mother's womb. A child is very much conscious & learns in the womb is proven by medical science too. Srimad Bhagavtam mentions that due to extremely horrible torture in mother's womb, we all *prayed* to Lord to let us come out of it & we will perform *Bhakti* to Him. But as soon as we come out, we forget everything that how Lord saved us & start enjoying without even acknowledging Him. So typical of us. On promise day, we should remember to fulfil our *1st* promise to Lord.

*10 Prayers to Sri Nityananda Prabhu*☺️

So, on this most auspicious day, we should pray for the mercy of Lord Nityananda.
From our heart of hearts, we should pray,

1. Please give me true humility, honest, genuine devotion.
2. Let me forsake this egoistic nature that has haunted me birth after birth after birth.
3. Free me of the entangling aspirations for material enjoyment.
4. Let me give up this laziness, this lethargy.
5. Let me give my life to be in the service of the servant of your servants.
6. Grant me a taste for hearing the glories of the Lord and
7. a great determination to attentively chant the Lords holy names.
8. Let me be forever grateful and indebted to our great Acharyas, Srila Prabhupada, who has so magnanimously risked his life in every possible way to give me entrance into the mercy of your lotus feet.
9. With that gratitude, let me assist his glorious mission in giving the holy name of Krishna and a life of devotion to Krishna, to whoever I meet.
10. We should pray for a pure heart, humble heart.

And if we pray with earnest desire, by the mercy of Sri Nityananda Prabhu our prayers will most certainly be fulfilled.

He is Anant Sesha, He is Sri Lakshman, He is Sri Balaram..All glories to Sri Nityananda. On this sacred day of Nityananda Trayodashi, let our hearts resonate with gratitude for the divine presence of Lord Nityananda. May His compassion guide us on the path of devotion, awakening the dormant love for the Supreme Lord and enriching our lives with spiritual fulfillment. Happy Nityananda Trayodashi! 🌼🙏
The *Supreme Lord Sri Krishna* appeared in Navadvipa (West Bengal) as *Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu* to establish the Sankirtana Movement (congregational chanting of the holy name of the Lord, the Yuga-dharma for this age). Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (in the form of Kṛṣṇa devotee)came to give the *conditioned souls of kaliyua the path to liberation* - chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. To help the Supreme Lord in His mission, *Lord Balarama* (elder brother of Shri Krishna) appeared as *Nityananda Prabhu (Nitai).* He assisted Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu by spreading the holy name of the Lord throughout Bengal.

Nityananda Prabhu appeared in the village of Ekachakra, in West Bengal, India, around *1474* . In Scriptures, He is declared to be the avatar of Lord Balarama, the direct expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna.

Lord Nityananda very mercifully enundated the entire universe with *Love* of Krishna and distributed the love of God *without considering whether one is qualified or not*. In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy, anyone can get the Love of God simply by singing and dancing on the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

Among His most convincing roles was that of *Lakshmana*, brother of Shri *Rama*. He is the same *Ananta Sesha* on whom Sri Vishnu lies down.

In ISKCON temples, you will always find two dieties with their hands up as if dancing in ecstasy, they are none other than Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu (Krishna Balaram).

*Invoking Lord Nityananda's Blessings:*
On this sacred day, devotees engage in prayer, meditation, and congregational chanting, seeking Lord Nityananda's blessings for spiritual growth and divine grace. His merciful glance has the power to dispel the darkness of ignorance and instill the light of transcendental knowledge.
