The Gunther building located on the corner of Broome and Greene street in downtown Manhattan was designed by Griffith Thomas in 1871.
Like so many other Soho buildings, the Gunther building was originally used as a textiles and furs warehouse until it was converted to a luxury co-op. Notable characteristics including its bright white facade, detailed corinthian columns, and curved glass corner make the Gunther building stand out amongst a sea of towering Soho lofts.
In 1978 it was listed on the National Registry of Historic places.
