🇮🇳 Expectations for MMA Support in India

📢 Call for Government Support:
Puja: Our PM and CM need to support us more. In India, if a sport doesn't get recognition from a minister or an award, people think it has no value. But we know the true potential of MMA.

🏏 Cricket Dominance:
India loves cricket, and that's great—they just won the World Cup, and we're proud of our flag rising. But we need to support other sports like MMA too.

👩‍👧‍👦 Martial Arts for Girls:
Puja and Ritu believe every household should encourage girls to learn martial arts. It's the best form of self-defense and can empower many.

🌟 Talent and Platform:
India is full of talent. The real issue isn't talent, it's the lack of platforms. With proper support and platforms, Indian athletes can achieve a lot.

👉What Happens to Our Skin as We Age? Dr. Rashmi Shetty Explains

🧬 Cellular Changes: As we age, DNA shortens and telomeres shrink, leading to cellular senescence. Mitochondria underperform, and some cells die but linger, disrupting skin immunity. Unnecessary proteins also accumulate, adding to the issue.

💧 Loss of Moisture: Aging skin struggles to retain water, resulting in dryness. Collagen and elastin fibers break down, reducing skin’s flexibility. The hyaluronic acid that keeps skin hydrated diminishes.

🌿 Decreased Oil Production: Oil glands produce less sebum, weakening the skin’s barrier and its ability to protect itself.

🕒 Slowed Cell Turnover: As cell turnover slows, dead skin cells accumulate, making the skin appear rougher and darker.

💪 Underlying Structural Changes: Muscles weaken, fat redistributes and sags, and bones resorb, altering facial structure. This leads to sagging and tired-looking skin.

🔬 Combined Impact: These changes, from the cellular level to the structural level, contribute to the visible signs of aging.

👉 Understand BMR: How Your Organs and Muscles Use Energy!

Your brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, intestines, and muscles all require energy to function, even when you're not active. This energy consumption at rest is known as your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Think of it like a car idling in neutral—it still burns fuel to keep systems running. 🚗💨

For a healthy body, your BMR represents the amount of energy needed in a 24-hour period at rest. When you start moving, like shifting a car into gear, your energy requirements increase. The more intense the activity, the more energy you burn.

👉Marshall presents a case study that almost all his clients—and probably you too—have failed. Ready to test yourself?
🔑 Here’s the scenario: You want to dine at Restaurant X. Your partner insists on Restaurant Y. After a heated argument, you end up at Restaurant Y. The food is awful, the service is terrible. Now, you have two options.
🤔 Option A: Critique the food, point out that your partner was wrong, and emphasize that this whole disaster could’ve been avoided if only they had listened to you.
Option B: Keep quiet, eat the food, and try to enjoy the night despite the circumstances.
💡 What would most people do? They’d choose Option A, critiquing the food and highlighting their partner’s mistake. But what should you do? Marshall’s advice is clear: Choose Option B. Shut up, eat the food, and try to have a pleasant evening.
🌐 This simple choice can transform your relationships. It’s not about being right—it’s about maintaining harmony and enjoying the moment, even when things don’t go your way.

👉 There's no "there."

We all have this notion that if we achieve certain milestones—get the promotion, the accolades, the wealth—we'll finally be content. If anyone should be "there," it's these high achievers. But guess what? They're not "sort of there" or "kind of there." They are there. And yet, they're still human.

Every day, they wake up and start over. Every day, they face new challenges and start anew. There's no final destination where everything falls into place and happiness is guaranteed.

The great Western disease is the belief that "I'll be happy when..." When I get the money, status, BMW, or condominium, then I'll be happy. But that’s a myth. If you're constantly chasing "there," you'll never truly be satisfied.

🌱 The key lesson? Embrace the journey. Realize that every day is a fresh start, and there's no magical "there" where life becomes perfect. Happiness and fulfillment come from appreciating the present and continually striving to be your best self.

3-Minute Daily Practice for Self-Improvement

🌟 Marshall Goldsmith reveals a powerful practice that takes just three minutes a day, costs nothing, and can help you improve in almost any area of life. Sounds too good to be true? Many are skeptical, and half the people who start quit within two weeks

📝 Here's how it works:

Create a Spreadsheet: In one column, write down a series of questions representing what's most important in your life—friends, family, work, colleagues, personal growth.

Daily Tracking: Each question is answered with a yes, no, or a number. For yes, put a 1; for no, put a 0; for numerical answers (like number of pushups), put the number.

Weekly Report Card: At the end of the week, review your answers.

📊 This weekly report card may not be as polished as the value plaques on your wall, but it reflects your true efforts and areas for improvement.

Marshall emphasizes that talking about values and goals is easy, but living up to them consistently is hard. By doing this daily practice, you'll realize how challenging it is to align actions with intentions. Yet, this honest self-assessment is where real growth begins.

👉 Ready to take on Marshall's challenge? Start your 3-minute daily practice today and watch yourself grow. For more insights, click the link in bio to watch the full episode.

👉"I'll Be Happy When..."

🌟 Marshall Goldsmith shares a profound insight: happiness and achievement are independent variables. Backed by the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, he emphasizes the importance of not becoming attached to outcomes.

🚫 The great Western disease is the mindset of "I'll be happy when…" When I get the money, the status, the BMW, the condo—then I’ll be happy. But Marshall argues, and the Gita supports, that this isn’t true.

🏆 He shares a powerful story about Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer. After the massive success of developing the COVID-19 vaccine, stock highs, and unprecedented employee engagement, Albert still faced a looming problem: "Next year." The pressure to achieve more and more never ends. If happiness depends on surpassing past achievements, true happiness remains elusive.

🥇 Consider Michael Phelps, with his 25 gold medals. After reaching the pinnacle of achievement, he faced a profound void, struggling with his mental health. This highlights the danger of tying happiness solely to achievement.

💡 The key takeaway? You can't achieve your way to happiness. Many people believe that just a bit more success will get them "there." But Marshall insists, there is no "there." The destination is an illusion.

🌱 Happiness must be found in the present. Embrace the now, find contentment in the journey, and release the attachment to outcomes. This wisdom, rooted in ancient teachings, offers a path to true and lasting happiness.

👉 Ready to break free from the "I'll be happy when..." mindset? Embrace the present moment and discover the true meaning of happiness.

👉 If you have this quality, you will become…

🌟 The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, when distilled for our everyday lives, revolve around a simple yet profound principle: give your best in every situation.
🌼 Whether the situation is favorable or challenging, joyous or sorrowful, the key is to be fully present and engaged. Don’t just show up—be involved. Pour your heart and soul into whatever you do, no matter the circumstances.
🧘‍♂️ This approach applies universally, from the mundane to the extraordinary. Be it a routine task, a critical decision, or a moment of crisis, your commitment to giving your best is what sets you apart.
💪 This principle teaches us to perform our duties with sincerity and dedication, without being attached to the outcomes. Trust that you will receive what you deserve, and focus on the effort rather than the result.
🌟 Embracing this mindset cultivates a sense of purpose and fulfillment. It also lays the foundation for true leadership. When you consistently give your best, you naturally inspire and influence those around you.
🌱 The Bhagavad Gita reminds us that leadership isn’t about position or power. It’s about the quality of your actions and your dedication to giving your best. This is what elevates you and makes you a leader in the truest sense.

👉 A person can only become a leader when…

Understanding one’s behavior is the first step. The Gita explains that each person has a unique behavioral pattern. Recognizing and harnessing this can help leaders manage themselves and their teams better.

💡 A true leader’s intention should be to unify and serve, not to micromanage. The goal is to channelize efforts and guide the team towards shared success. This intention, combined with self-awareness, propels a team to new heights.

🌿 This is where spiritual knowledge becomes invaluable. Traditional education often focuses on creating efficient workers and emphasizes the finite nature of life. It seldom teaches the deeper, spiritual aspects of leadership that foster true growth and fulfillment.

📚 Spiritual knowledge, as shared in texts like the Bhagavad Gita, equips leaders with the tools to decode their intentions and behaviors. It provides the wisdom needed to lead with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

👉 Vedanta says something very powerful…

🌟 Bhavesh shares profound insights from Vedanta, urging us to apply these teachings in our lives. Here's a powerful concept to consider: pain arises from our association with objects.
💔 When we become too attached to people, things, or outcomes, we set ourselves up for pain. The greater the attachment, the greater the potential for suffering. It's the association itself that becomes the source of our desires and thoughts, leading to both joy and pain.
🌱 Vedanta offers a practical solution: detachment. By learning to detach ourselves from the outcomes and associations, we can navigate life with greater ease and serenity. Instead of getting lost in the past or future, we learn to fully embrace and enjoy the present moment.
🧘‍♂️ Embracing the philosophy of "be in the now" allows us to experience life more fully without being consumed by attachment. It's about finding a balance between engagement and detachment, allowing us to lead with clarity and presence.
🚀 As we put effort into practicing detachment and living in the present moment, we ascend higher on our journey of self-awareness and personal growth. A true leader embodies this wisdom, leading with a sense of inner peace and detachment from the fluctuations of life.

👉 These are all things which are amplifying your ego…

🔍 Bhavesh introduces a transformative concept: shifting from ego to Igo. What does this mean? It’s about cultivating a mindset where happiness isn't tethered to external outcomes.
📱 Whether you get that new cell phone or not, your happiness remains intact. This inner balance leads to a calm, measured response to life’s events.
💬 But often, we're ruled by our emotions—expectations, desires, attachments, and the need for attention. These amplify our ego, creating tension and dissatisfaction in various areas of our lives.
🏢 At work, within families, and even among siblings, ego rears its head. Imagine the scenario: you and I have the same cell phone, but I'll worry if your cover looks better than mine. This micro-level competition exemplifies how deeply ego can infiltrate our lives. And it’s disheartening.
🌱 The key is to embrace Igo—a state where your sense of self isn't dictated by comparisons or external validations. It’s about finding contentment within and responding to life with equanimity.
🌟 Let’s move towards a mindset where our inner peace isn't swayed by external factors. By doing so, we can foster healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.

👉 Religion vs. Spirituality

🔍 When it comes to understanding the difference between religion and spirituality, Bhavesh offers a profound perspective.
🕊️ Religion often evokes the image of a singular God, presiding somewhere, dictating dos and don'ts. It's rooted in fear—the fear of consequences if one doesn't adhere to specific commands. There's a sense of obligation: "I must do this, or else..."
🌌 Spirituality, on the other hand, dissolves these boundaries. It sees everything as divine because you are divine. We are all interconnected. The microcosm and the macrocosm are one, flowing seamlessly together. There is no separation.
🌟 As Ramana Maharishi famously said, when asked about identity and others, he responded, "There are no others." Everything is one. This realization is the essence of spirituality.
💡 Religion often structures belief within a framework of rules and fear, while spirituality emphasizes unity and the interconnectedness of all existence.
🌿 Embrace this understanding and see how it transforms your perspective on life. Recognize that spirituality offers a path where there are no others—only unity and oneness.

👉As is belief, so is behavior, so is business.

Our actions in business stem from our behaviors, which are rooted in our beliefs.

Beliefs can't be measured directly, but their effects are visible.

Take the world's violence, for example. It's a behavior driven by a belief in scarcity—specifically, the fear of food shortage.

Even the wealthiest among us operate from this scarcity mindset. Despite their riches, they use terms like "value proposition" as if they lack resources.

Look closely: the richest people often act out of fear. They're not known for their generosity. They rarely open their doors to strangers or refugees, fearing that these newcomers might disrupt their well-crafted ecosystems.

This protective behavior stems from their belief system, or as we can call it, their personal myths.

Devdutt explains that leaders need to understand this fundamental truth: everyone has a different story, shaped by their unique beliefs.

Reflect on this: how are your beliefs shaping your behavior and your business?

And more importantly, what story do you want to write for the world?
