Introducing Lydia Sanders...

Lydia grew up in the Roman city of Lincoln and from there developed an appetite for historical detail from around the world. Lydia decided to study modern foreign languages at Durham University to help her research into women in history from around the world. Travel and fashion are her other great passions. Lydia has lived in many places; strutting her stuff along the streets of romantic Paris, danced flamenco in fiery Madrid, and wandered through the Salamanca as well as in Lincoln!

✨ Shobhna Patel attends Kids Book Fest 2021! ✨

A freelance illustrator based in North Lincolnshire, Shobhna loves being creative at all times and she specialises in paper-cutting and paper-engineering. During university, Shobhna specialised in bookbinding and book publishing. After graduating with a First Class honours degree in Graphic Design from DeMontfort University in 2012, she has books published internationally by Carlton Publishing and Thames and Hudson. Recently, Shobhna has been teaching her skills to others in multiple art institutions and local schools by providing paper-cutting and bookbinding workshops. When not at her desk, Shobhna can be found reading books - she is highly influenced by literature and motivated by classics written by Dickens, Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson and poetry which captures exceptional imagery.

A unique and innovative pop-up book concept, retold and illustrated by me. The Nutcracker, consists of 4 lasercut scenes that pop open. Each scene contains intricate details and illustrations, sure to mesmerise readers with their dainty charm! Wowzer! 🤩

Tracy is a primary school teacher turned carer who writes both picture books and chapter books beside the sea in Cornwall.

In 2019 Tracy was shortlisted for Writing Magazine’s Picture Book Prize and in May 2020, her story 'My Mummy’s a Witch' came top three in the WriteMentor Children’s Novel Award!
