They were not only willing, but they did lay down their lives to earn and protect our freedom. From the battlefields of Lexington and Concord, to the sands of the Middle East, they answered their countries call. Hated by their enemies and sometimes by the very ones who’s freedom they defended, they lay down their lives. Those who left their families, never to return, bled their dreams out, into now sacred earth. The dreams they had for their future, for the love that would build a home, produce beautiful children, and memories of a life that, now would never be. These were truly the best among us. Remember them on this Memorial Day. True American Heroes, one and all.

All Mary wanted was to fix their favorite meal and enjoy the company of two of her precious sons. However, her hopes of a peaceful family dinner were crumbling as the boy’s talk turned political. She sat quietly with heart sinking as they began to talk of this last election.

They could not have been any different. Though they shared the same adulation of their fans, were the center of attention in every party they attended, and their names were household names, they held two completely and radically different world views.

Edwin had never been political in his entire life, John on the other hand was a radical democrat and had even began to associate himself with a younger group of people who dreamed of the potential to overthrow the current system of government. That’s when the new president deepened the divide between these brothers.

The divide of families, friends and neighbors has been throughly covered in the press. Half of the nation seems to adore this president and half seem to abhor him. And, tonight at their mothers dinner table, Edwin finally admitted to his little brother that he had actually voted for him. That he had actually felt American pride as he cast his first ever ballot for the controversial Republican who would win the office.

This was just one family that this election has divided. Dinner tables all across the nation have been turned into heated debate stages. Friendships have ended, family members now estranged, but these brothers will be forever and irreparably separated by this election. The older, more critically acclaimed brother, will soon, and forever, be eclipsed by his younger, less admired brother, in a theatrical production that will forever be retold by succeeding generations. The older will disappear as a footnote in history, while the younger will be in American history books.

All she wanted was a family dinner with her two sons. Who would ever have thought that her own sons would become such rivals? Who would ever have thought that a presidential election would tear her family apart this way? The evening ruined, Mary Booth begins to clear the table to leave her two sons to their debate of the virtue or vileness of this divider and chief. A tall, lean and homely figure, who was rarely seen without donning that large stove pipe hat.

Just heard that this Walmart services the military depot that sends supplies to the entire Pacific theater of our military forces. Is this an attack from China? Something to think about. At the least she needs to be found and checked out. Just my opinion.
