CAPE CORAL MURDER: Christopher Gregory Davis is accused of killing his then-boyfriend, 56-year-old Barry Schmalbach, in July 2023. Police say Davis bought a tarp, two rolls of tape, a shovel and pick-axe. To this day, police are still searching for Barry's body.

One year ago today, my world came crashing down. I unexpectedly lost my best friend. Rocky was loyal, protective, quirky and loving.

I miss his morning cuddles, his puppy growls when he wanted attention, coming home to his wiggle butt, watching him chase his tail, playing in the sprinklers, his constant drooling over food and so much more.

Nothing can ever replace him, but instead, Abby and I can honor him. I took today off to spend the day with Abby, doing all the things Rocky loved.

We miss you so much, Rocky. We know you’re watching over us. We love you ❤️
