Today, May 12 is the celebration of International Nurses Day. It was in 1947 when the international Council of Nurses (ICN) declared May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, as the “International Nurse Day.”

We thank you for all the love, hard work, sacrifices, care and patience. Thank you for safeguarding the lives of everyone especially during this pandemic. You are real life heroes.

Share this to a nurse you know to express genuine support and appreciation for all their hard work and sacrifices.

❤️ 💯

30. kidlat TAHIMIK (National Artist for Film)

Produced and directed by visual and community theater artist Angelo Aurelio, this documentary film commemorates the 30th year of remembering the victims of the earthquake and how an entire isolated city rose from the tragedy. Like a Cordilleran tapestry that tells a story, this community documentary is a weaved essay of stories of hope, grief, friendship, sky rocketing careers, temporary failures, and triumphs of the spirit, all intertwined in a pattern of a grand metanarrative.

A joint tribute of the Creative and Journalism community of Baguio to the spirit of courage, hope, and resiliency of the people in times of great uncertainty.

Kapwa, as defined by the father of modern Filipino psychology, Virgilio Enriquez, means “shared identity,” “equality,” and “being with others.” Kapwa is also a word meant to bring Filipinos together. Kapwa is one with the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating pride in 2020. Spread the love❤️🏳️‍🌈
