A few weeks ago, I shared a post about our podcast in a local Facebook group, asking for support and shares.

Many people were incredibly kind and supportive which is amazing. But, unfortunately, we also received some deeply hurtful and racist comments that left me shaken for days.

As a mother of Black children, it made me pause and reflect on their future, their safety, and the world they’ll inherit. It’s hard to put into words how those comments made me feel, but it was a raw, painful reminder that the fight for equality is far from over.
At the same time, though, this post sparked an important conversation.

Many people (myself included, at one point) believe that racism and bias are things of the past, that we’ve moved forward in the 21st century. But the truth is, those conversations only show us that racism and bias are still very much here, and we have so much work to do to change that.

This experience led us to record a special episode on how to deal with online and offline haters, and, most importantly, how to protect your inner peace. It’s something that’s becoming more and more relevant as we all face this kind of negativity in our lives. I know how much it hurts, and I want to help others find ways to rise above it and keep their peace intact. ❤️

Friends, our new podcast episode is not doubt one of the most important ones we have released.

Can you be racist at 40 and not know?

We talk to my friend and therapist Natali who bravely and honestly shares how she became aware of her own bias only later in life (just like myself).

It is a great conversation where we unpack the invisible side of racism that affects all of us, whether we realise it or not. It's not about shame - it's about awareness, growth, and change.

Please take a moment to listen. And if it moves you, share it. These are the conversations that matter. ❤

‘It’s just a joke.’

How many times have we heard that when it comes to racist (or sexist) jokes? But here’s the thing—words have power. What some see as ‘harmless banter’ can actually reinforce harmful stereotypes, normalise discrimination, and make people feel unwelcome or unsafe.

In this snippet from our podcast episode “I don’t mean to sound racist, but…” with Adeyemi Oke we unpack why these jokes aren’t as innocent as they seem and why it’s time to start thinking twice before sharing one.
