Hi 👋🏻 Charlotte here!

We’ve been a little quiet lately and wanted give everyone an update…especially since the website is down 😞

Shiftr is still alive and kicking but has had to be popped to one side as we address other priorities. Nick and I run this in our spare time as well as wrangling 5 kids and a couple of jobs. Money hasn’t been going as far as we would like of late (as is the case for a lot of people) so we took the difficult decision to take the website down until we can find a more sustainable way of keeping it going.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us out so far, whether its stories, advice, sharing posts or contributing to the Patreon. Shiftr will be back soon but it will always ebb and flow because that’s the nature of these things. For now, we need to refill our cups and get on top of the bills 😬

We Need Your Support!

There some incredible stories out there being told by some amazing cyclists! They’re doing everything from battling the daily commute, fighting their way back from injury, racing across continents or duelling with obstacles or prejudices in society, and we want to be a platform their stories.

But to do that, we need your support.

Shiftr in non-profit, and by donating just a few pounds a month goes a long way to keeping the online magazine running and allowing us to put out as many stories as we can each month.

The support that we have from the cycling community is already humbling, and promise to keep giving back to the wonderful world of real cycling.

Thanks to everyone who attended the first Shiftr Bike Film Night, we hope you loved seeing some incredible cyclist on their various crazy adventures as much as we did!

Only a week after completing the Pan Celtic, James Houston on a BROMPTON has started the even more gruelling TransContinental!

The 4000km eighth edition of the race started last night at 10pm began at the Muur van Geraardsbergen in Belgium and finish on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in Burgas.

It’s not all miles piling up on this hundred, epic views, tears and shredded tyres, sometimes it’s just varieties of sugary carbs and that final, hard won Brevit Stamp.

As a new week begins, riders are now coming over the finish line of the PCR in their dozens. Cakes are being consumed by the loaf, the kettle seems constantly on the boil and the beers are a welcome tonic to the heat.

The atmosphere is buzzing at Pan Celtic HQ!
