Sh*t Tough - Brett Cowell
Idea for this one came from reading a few books about UK free festival scene in the 1990's. This is something to be played outside at night, loud, with a bonfire! Originally was tough sh*t, but gonna use that name for a different track I'm working on. Enjoy!
Heraldz - a signal that change is coming. I've been inspired (and driven) by everything that is happening right now to write a festival set of my own music, with new tracks and festival remixes of some existing demos etc. The idea is that at the least I can beam this music and message out around the world, and reach people. Also develop how this would work live at an in-person festival or performance.
This has been an interesting process so far, trying to reconcile my various projects/aliases: FYOP, DJ Brett Beetroot and work I do under my own name of Brett Cowell. It seems that both rock energy and electronic (and beats) can form a potent recipe for change, more than either individually, especially when we gather together to listen to and move to the music.
Here is a teaser for that...let me know what you think.
Track Listing:
1. Heraldz - Intro
2. Breathless - Interlude
3. Vertigo (Instrumental Version) - FYOP
Upper Icosphere
What started as a 360 degree music visualizer test using the demo track "Bita Acid" I posted here 3 years ago, turned into an immersive art piece "Upper Icosphere" since the image and the piece seemed to somehow be a metaphor for life. I haven't tried on FB phone app yet, but you can use your cursor in web browser FB to scroll around the 360 degree video. Other best viewing experience so far is on YouTube app on phone, since you can physically move your phone to look around, or can look on a vr headset. Will post links below. Enjoy!
