Fifth and final crew appreciation post!

Big thanks to Max who was our sound mixer on set. He could hear everything that was going on once his headphones were plugged in. Not only did he do a fantastic job of getting our sound, he was definitely a morale booster for everyone.

Fourth crew appreciation post!

Emelie was our awesome cinematographer and camerawoman. She was bending over backwards for the best shot possible. Without her perseverance and dedication to the perfect shot, we don't know what would have happened in each scene. We love her to pieces.

Third crew appreciation post!

Alana was our grip, our other set of hands. She was helping left, right and centre where she could. During our shoot, we had a massive dolly that she had to push around for shots. She got through it like a trooper though. Very lucky to have her on board.

Second crew appreciation post!

Alice Burley, our main lighting girl. She could set up lights in a second, anywhere and everywhere. It takes an eagle eye to be able to pull off the colours that she did with limited gels. Without a doubt, we can say that we wouldn't have wanted anyone else setting up our LED's and Fresnels.

Our first crew appreciation post!

A big, big thank you to the wonderful Shae Harrison who was our Assistant Director on set. She helped to keep everyone level headed and took control of the schedule while the producer was running off doing a million other things. She provided a good laugh and had brilliant communication skills when relaying info from cast to crew.

I know it has been a while since our last post, but we are officially in our post-production phase! Our director, Ryan, is fully committed to the editing of the film and he has his head down in editing software 24/7. The Producer, Hannah, is making her way to creating the trailer and we both agree that Adobe Premiere is our saviour.

We would like to take this time to update you on the process we are in at the moment. There is a lot of sifting through footage and labelling everything as either worthy or not to be put in our film. We still have a long way to go even though the due date is looming in closer and closer each day. We hope that everyone who gets the chance to watch this at the end of our year-long process enjoys it to the fullest.

Our team who helped us to create this short film will also be credited accordingly throughout this entire week. We want to show our love and appreciate to the crew who made this all possible.

Hi guys! As the weekend is steadily approaching, we would like to update you on what is happening in the pre-production of 'The 12th Day'. We have accomplished finding our crew to help us make this all possible, we are in the process of finding cast members to play our wonderful characters and we are also on the hunt for all of our props.

We would like to thank everyone who has liked and shared our page and the posts we have so far as it gives us confidence in the film. Soon we will have a link to our crowdfunding page because as university students, we are tight on money. We know that COVID-19 has put a halt on most peoples plans and that money is tight, but if you would like to make a donation of any size we would greatly appreciate it. So please keep your eyes peeled! On a happier note, here is a small message from our director on why he wrote this script.

Kia ora, my name is Ryan Trehy and I am the director and writer of The 12th Day. My passion for films spawned from my passion for storytellers. My whole life I have been interested in writing, reading, folklore and mythology. When I was 14, this transitioned into bringing my stories to film. The 12th Day is a passion project of mine, spawned up during quarantine and from a love of horror and dystopian films. The story came to me while I was discussing how to keep families safe during isolation with a friend when suddenly a COVID-19 announcement played on the T.V. The two ideas seemed to mix and what came out of it was weeks and weeks of writing a story that explored how we as people would do anything we can to protect the ones we love.
