We chat about a philosophy of integrity in lighting, his experience working on films like The Matrix (he was 2nd unit DP, shooting bullet time & big effects shots), The Wolverine (he was 1st unit DP), and of course his sublime work on the new Ridley Scott series for HBO Max, Raised by Wolves.

In this 7th episode of the Art of the Shot podcast, you’ll get an inside view into the close working relationship they have, the techniques and thought processes behind the choices they’re making on set, working with David Fincher, the importance of having a dedicated camera operator on set, especially a David Fincher set, why there's no such thing as a B camera "bonus shot" on Mindhunter, and how shots are planned out for multiple cameras.
