Summer time means aperitivo time 🍢🥂 And what’s better for it than a cool drink to toast and a simple sweet-salty snack? Apertivo is definitely one of the things we love most about Italy, it’s all about having a good time with some good company and food along 🇮🇹
Bread from the skillet is such a cool thing, especially when you're far from any supermarket! 🍞This time it was even more exciting because we experimented with watercress in the batter! Cooking with nature in nature, what more could one ask for? 😊🌱

Hands up pancakes lovers!👨🏻🍳 We love simple but delicious recipes and this one is definitely becoming one of our new favs! Already because of its fun pink colour 😍 Have you ever tried beetroot pancakes ?
It’s the first time we tried , and we love it!!! It opens the doors to a whole range of new recipes we usually enjoy cooking indoors. But now we‘re able to prepare them also outdoors! And honestly how cool is it to bake a cherry-strudel somewhere next to a hiking trail? 🍒 If only my grandma knew where the old family recipe would eventually end up❣️

Two mountain kids from Italy that met four years ago and found each other through our shared love of mother nature and good food (and perhaps also some more things 😁💕)
We began spending more and more time in remote places seeking new adventures 🏕
But being on a 3,000m peak or backpacking around a small island in the Atlantic where you barely spy a human face brings its difficulties when the tummy starts growling 🏝So that’s how it all begun. Exploring new dishes for the outdoor kitchen became our passion!👨🏻🍳 Time flies and we got already our first cookbook launched on Kickstarter 📘

A short throwback to the mountain season of the last year 🌄 We are looking at the majestic mountains and thinking of the fresh mountain air, breathtaking views and the light adrenaline feeling when you climb the last meters of the peak! However, we are not getting bored, a lot of projects, we love to work on, are going on right now!
And we have already many recipe ideas in mind for when we are finally back on the rocky slopes 🥰
Oats patties - super simple, tasty and wholesome! We absolutely love these patties, we discovered them on our very first backpack trip when all we had left in our rucksack was an oatmeal package and a sad zucchini! Our stomaches started growling so we had to get creative! 🤔
By and by we refined the recipe with some more ingredients like bell pepper, onion, and some spices! But the truth is theses patties are very versatile. Hence, you can throw in almost every veggie you got! And the taste is on point, that’s all that matters!
Everyone loves it, the warming and protective campfire.🔥However, we noticed that many people are not certain about how to build the perfect fire. That’s why we want to share with you these 6 simple steps for a relaxed campfire time:
1. Select a fireplace, preferably use pre-existing fire beds
2. Create a ring of rocks
3. Gather your wood: tinder, kindling wood and bigger branches which will keep your fire going long into the night
4. Lay the fire, do this by lightening a bundle of tinder that is surrounded by a tepee of kindling
5. Get to cooking 😋
6. Extinguish the fire, control twice if it’s out

It feels extremely good being lost somewhere on a small romantic island in the Atlantic with nothing but us, our backpacks, our feet that carry us on and the only orientation - a map👣🗺
We never worried about not knowing where we are (on the contrary), yet we were happy encountering a reference point from time to time. Like the tiny lighthouse in the background ⚓️ Just to be certain that we were still on the right track 😉
And then all left to do was savor the moment with a great, well-earned lunch! 🍵
Outdoor cooking - where you don’t need a fancy kitchen for outstanding and sometimes just normal dishes and where you don’t need to reserve any table for a sparkling candlelight dinner ✨ All that counts is having a good time, besides good food and good company🏕
