New lights at Sunbury Skatepark! Which other parks in NEPA need lights?

Hello everyone just an update as you can see in this terrible photo we have some more lights!! the rest of them should be installed within a few days, just in time for peak shredding season! Definitely get down here and check them out, the LED lights make a huge difference! Also just want to put a friendly reminder out there the end of the month is coming up quick so please please please spend 5 mins of your time to write a letter regarding why the skatepark is important to you and the community, and why we are in need of a new one! We do not care if it’s written in crayons (actually preferred from the kids) if you got bad handwriting, spelling, only have one thing to say! More letters the better please bug your neighbors!! Also can be typed up and sent to [email protected]

Hello everyone happy Monday hope all is well! Just would like to give everyone a quick update. We officially pulled the trigger on purchasing new LED lights for the park and are told they will be installed in about a month! Just before peak shredding season! We would like to also say thank you to everyone that has typed up/ written letters regarding the park I believe we are up to about 25 letters which is awesome, but I know we can do a lot better! So please keep pestering your friends, family, neighbors,teacher’s, enemies, kids, parents, grandparents, anyone and everyone to take a moment and help the cause! Now get out there and shred!

The Electric City is taking proposals for the project to add a skate park to Weston Field. There is also an overhaul planned for the pool and playground area.

WE HAVE A DAMN DOOR!!!! It’s still not entirely paid for yet, we have to build a handicap ramp, the city will probably come up with some more “fees” and I need to have some electrical work done so it’s 👉NOT IN USE YET👈 but we’re so close. Locking in details for fundraisers this week. I cannot thank you guys enough. Looking forward to so many wild shows this year ❤️

Last year, through funding and shows with the Allentown Skatepark Collective and Balloons Us, we as a group donated over 50 complete skateboards, 20 helmets, and pads. This year, through a comedy show called "Comedy for Completes," all money raised will be used to once again buy complete skateboards...

As we approach December and begin to plan the holiday skate deck giveaway, "Gnarly or Nice", first lets celebrate fruits of all of our labor. We , Brandon Davis, Gretchen Gross , Curt Keck (Hi-jinx), amateur athlete skateshop and all members of the Band "Ghost of Fu kang walker", and all of the artist at the SKART show. Were able to raise funds for 50 new complete skateboards and 30 new helmets, for Allentowns inner city youth, this holiday season. We now begin the task of compiling the names of the 50 children that either currently skateboard or seriously would like to learn to skateboard. If you would like to nominate a child for the "Gnarly and nice", PM this page. Must be a serious interest and a youth from Allentown. Also, we will be doing a "12 days of Christmas" giveaway at Jordan skatepark and or Keck skatepark in Allentown leading up to Christmas day, If you are at the skateparks , skating, you may get a new deck! More information on the "Gnarly or nice" event forthcoming. 🛹🪖🎅
